Arkwin Bootstrap Reservoirs have been designed to many stringent customer specifications. Designs utilize petroleum based oils, phosphate esters, jet fuels, and silicone fluid as working media. Production designs have swept volumes from 5 to 5,000 cubic inches and operating pressures up to 5,000 psig. Usage spans from the A-10 to the Embraer E-2 and many aircraft in between including CH-47, The Space Shuttle, F-35 and more. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3dsWxFU

LH2 fuel tanks for commercial aviation Stuart Colville University of Plymouth Kerosene storage to #LH2 storage in a conventional aircraft. (1) Larger volumetric energy density (2) Cryogenic liquid pressurised fuel tank. • Result is a 'dry wing' aircraft, fuel tank within aircraft fuselage. 2D representation in this work. • Aircraft are susceptible to unique accelerations - vertical/lateral gusts - sloshing in cryogenic fuel tanks is a known problem. • Pressure fluctuation induced by sloshing. (1) Rapid pressure drop may impact structural stability of fuel tank. (2) Condensation leads to fluid heating potential overpressure. https://lnkd.in/eMX_Qa5e #IHAC2023 #hydrogen #tank #sloshing #lh2

Trade off analysis continues... e.g. One set of foil configuration CFD optimization runs: When all related support systems are considered the improvement in launch speed four thrusters per foil does provide, is not justified. This image shows only one of the thruster positions in relation to the foil, many others were analyzed. Vertical thruster support stanchions are symmetrical airfoils. Hydrofoil profile chosen is one of the ones used successfully by other hydrofoil boats. #tridentls1 #electricboats #electrichydrofoils

To prevent the combustion of liquid titanium when additively manufacturing aerospace components, the chamber must be filled with inert argon gas! By simulating the flow of argon gas in and air flowing out of the chamber, we can test a variety of inlet and outlet vent configurations to find the optimal setup. This model helps minimise the amount of argon needed and process setup time, reducing the cost of manufacturing components and their environmental impact. Have a question about this model? Let us know! #AdditiveManufacturing #Aerospace #AerospaceIndustry #Aircraft

2nd Generational Heir to Nikola Tesla, 1st to Drazen, World's leading authority on CTP Energy Science, C-domain Communication™, CTP (anti)gravitic & FTL propulsion. Architect of the Nth Industrial Revolution™
The longer 'cylindrical' or 'cigar-shaped' #CTPcraft, we would refer to as as #CTPspaceliners. Via CTP Modulation, the basis of CTP Propulsion, one does not require aerocontrol surfaces such as wings, engines, rudder, or stabilizers once one is controlling/modulating the total CTP Gravitic Forces. Ramjet Ground Test This is a photo of a ground direct-connect test of a solid propellant gas generator-fed ramjet engine. This was a 7-inch OD flight-weight combustor coupled with a heavyweight laboratory motor as its short-burn gas generator. It features an asymmetric twin side-dump air inlet entry. The ramjet nozzle was convergent-only, convenient for ground test purposes. The combustor was insulated with an experimental ablative, which is the source of the sparkler streaks. The fuel rich propellant was 28.5% metal, that being boron and titanium. Efficiency was evidently quite high, as evidenced by the clean downstream plume appearance, despite the opaquely-incandescent flame near the nozzle. I conducted this test on company R&D, way back in 1991 for Hercules Aerospace. It was one in a series that tested experimental fuel propellants, experimental combustor insulations, and on some of them (not this one) an experimental “throttle” that had no moving parts. I conducted hundreds of tests like this during many years with that company. This particular test was the first time anybody had ever burned high-percentage boron fuel, of any type, efficiently, in a ramjet engine!
