Czech designer Daniela Hradilová and her husband, Peter Hradil, have expanded their boutique hotel, Mezi Plutky, with a new holiday home, Mezi Lukami near the Western Carpathian Mountains in the Czech Republic. They restored a nineteenth-century Moravian Wallachian wooden house, blending tradition and modernity while respecting the original structure and surroundings. The 260 sqm house retains its two-part structure: the former entrance hall is now a central living area, the glazed passageway serves as a dining area with views of nature, and the kitchen combines rustic stone walls with a modern cooker. The bedrooms offer quiet retreats, and the loft, with its dark wooden floors and strategic lighting, provides an atmospheric space for relaxation. 📸: Romana Bennett #architecture #architect #building #design #czechrepublic #czechia #interior #photography

From someone who refurbished some Georgian barns and ran them as holiday lets for 13 years I have to say that it simply stunning and shows off the features wonderfully.
A dream house, very cosy and warm and breathy at the same time placed in a beautiful piece of nature. I love this
It's truly inspiring to see Daniela Hradilová and Peter Hradil's dedication to preserving the rich heritage of the Czech Republic through their stunning architectural project. The seamless blend of tradition and modernity is a testament to their passion for sustainable design and cultural preservation.

Lovely restoration. Nice how the traditional features have been subtlety integrated with modern touches. Adds to the experience !
Malý dům na Prairis!
Is this style Quaker, Shaker, or Faker! Whatever it is, it’s austerely FAB, albeit a tad bit cold!
I want to be there!! 😍
