As Wimbledon fortnight continues, in celebration, we are revisiting our hugely successful podcast episode featuring our very special guest, Dr Jim Loehr. In Part 2 of the Talking Toughness podcast, we explore aspects of our health and well-being through the lens of a multi-dimensional construct. It is physical, it is emotional, it is mental, and it is spiritual. Approaching systems and individuals holistically can lead to more effective and sustainable outcomes, especially in areas like health, competition, work, and life performance. By considering the interconnectedness of all aspects of a person's well-being, we can strive to cultivate a more comprehensive approach to improvement and growth. While it is true that stress can be a catalyst for growth and development, it is important to acknowledge the significance of recovery in maintaining a healthy balance. Embracing stress in pursuit of personal growth is essential, but equally essential is the need for intentional and adequate recovery time, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually in order to sustain and maximise that growth. Understanding and implementing this balance is crucial for overall well-being and productivity. Employee Well-being Consultant 🌟 Delivering results = 30+% reduction in workplace stress & anxiety, 81% more engagement & up to 200% ROI
All human beings, like you, are guided by a set of values. But when you stop and think about it, do you really know where those values came from? What's more, will they hold up when the Universe calls your bluff? The latest episode of Fine is a 4-Letter Word introduces you to Jason Seiden, author of "How to Self-Destruct" and "Super Staying Power". When you meet Jason through this one, you'll learn about his journey to rediscovering joy following his daughter's passing. How it showed him the true, deeper source of his values and how you, too, can pass them on to family, friends, colleagues, and everybody you encounter. Jason had to break free from the emotional $h!tshow brought on when everything fell apart, so that he could go on to be a positive force for change. We're also addressing that ever-interesting conversation around "work-life balance." Jason coined a better term for it! Make sure you listen to this Fine is a 4-Letter Word episode. 1:1 Life Coach. Is your self-talk sabotaging your chance at peace, happiness, & success? Transform your mind, transform your life. Host: The End of the Day Podcast. #mindset #selfbelief #identity #habits #rewireyourbrain
On this week's episode of The End of the Day Podcast, we talk about the "Me Time" paradox. "Me Time" is not just about taking a break from work or responsibilities; it's about dedicating time to yourself, to nurture your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We often lead busy lives, filled with work, family, and other commitments. Neglecting "Me Time" can lead to stress, burnout, and a negative mindset. On the other hand, making time for yourself can help you recharge, reduce stress, and improve your overall mindset. And yet, most of us designate the end of the day as our "Me Time", when we're the most physically drained and emotionally depleted, which begs the question, "Are we spending our "Me Time" the way we really want?" That's where a "Me Time" audit can really help. In this episode, I share the findings of my own "Me Time" audit in the hope that it will pique your interest in taking a closer look at your own. "Me Time" is an important aspect of self-care and personal growth. The question is, are we really actually caring for ourselves during this time? If not, the first step to change is awareness. When we bring awareness to our behavior and patterns, we bring ourselves to the present. Why is this important? Because the present moment is the only time where we can influence and change the trajectory of our future. Not all change happens overnight... For some reason, we tend to think the minute we adopt a new self-care, spiritual, or wellness practice that we're going to see immediate results and that's just not accurate. Any change in your life will take time to take hold & show up - so don't get discouraged when you begin to make changes for the better, it's not that you're doing it wrong or that it's not working, it's just that we have to learn to find our patience in this amazon prime world we live in so that we can reap the benefits of our new positive habits! I mean, I'm sure it took years to build up the not-so positive ones, it's gonna take a minute to break those down!
