A more equal world starts with you. That was the message as April Six recognized #PRIDE Month with a Coffee Talk focused on the power of #allyship. Sixers watched the #TEDTalk “Want a more just world? Be an unlikely ally” featuring equity advocate Dwinita Mosby Tyler. Citing a formative moment from her own life, she highlights why showing up and fighting for others who face injustices beyond your own lived experience leads to a fairer, more just future for all. This year’s commemoration of #Juneteenth provided April Six employees with an opportunity to reflect and a day to participate in service, education, and action. In that same spirit, our weekly Coffee Talk Thursday featured the #TEDTalk, “How to turn moments into momentum” through actions designed to express intention for inclusion and equality. Sixers learned how they can do their part to promote unity and provide equal opportunity. Welcome to our latest superstar, Claire Chapman who joins April Six EMEA Tech team as a Senior Copywriter. Claire has an incredible pedigree working with some of the world's - and our - most prestigious tech brands, from ServiceNow, to Hitachi Vantara and SAS. When Claire isn’t developing outrageously good content and creative, she's kept busy by her two gorgeous children. They keep her negotiation skills up to scratch, and make sure she’s as equally well versed in all manner of creepy crawlies as she is in tech. It's great to have you on board, Claire!

In recognition of #PrideMonth, April Six is highlighting initiatives designed to promote diversity and create an inclusive work environment. The month kicked off with our first Coffee Talk Thursday, a weekly pride-themed discussion. Our first Coffee talk provided Sixers with the opportunity to explore the extensive and often overlooked history of the transgender community’s efforts to gain recognition and equal rights, focusing not only the struggles but also the significant triumphs of the trans community.
