Further information is coming out about hybrid Sodium/Lithium batteries which combine the best of both chemistries and can achieve a specific power density of over 200W/kg from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited. (Remember the BYD blade batteries had jumped up to 185 W/kg.) Smaller markets benefit from innovations in #Lithiumion #batterycells developed for #EVs, like the dry electrode coating technique discussed in this article. On the other hand, EV manufacturers are late to the game with #LithiumIronPhosphate (LFP) technology, also mentioned here.
