You’ve been working on a new application for your company. It is going to address business requirements needed to delight customers. But while you are ready to ship your code, you now need to set up your infrastructure. The good news is that Infrastructure as Code (IaC) exists and promises to make it easier for you to codify all the components needed for your application to run smoothly. The problem is that IaC is a huge list of all the parts of your infrastructure to be provisioned; you can't technically see it so you have to keep all the separate components and how they relate to one another in your brain. Which means that you need to expand your expertise beyond development and into all facets of infrastructure so that you can code your infrastructure without making errors. Read Asif Awan's blog why you do not want a visualization of your IaC. Hint: you actually do! https://lnkd.in/ec9TeWDY

"With appCD, the developer can just focus on writing their application code [and] not have to worry about infrastructure. Within a matter of seconds, we can generate that entire IaC for the developer… [and they] can start testing the app in no time,” explained Awan. “From a decision-maker, executive C-suite perspective, [they can be assured] that the best cloud design practices—as well as security policies and compliance and government policies—are always applied proactively, not reactively.” Database Trends & Applications features Asif Awan at appCD! https://lnkd.in/eRSywf-w

Infrastructure from Code provides huge opportunities to organizations that want secure and compliant applications and infrastructure at scale and velocity. To help those interested in how Infrastructure from Code can help developers, platform engineers and security or compliance teams, we created the appCD solutions overview paper. In it we help define Infrastructure from Code, discuss its benefits including standards over templates and outline how appCD works. appCD will analyze, visualize and generate Infrastructure from Code based on your application code. We automatically create your Infrastructure from Code based on your code and with all the cloud best practices and policies needed to get that application deployed. Download the paper if you are curious to learn more. https://lnkd.in/edEivxaw
