Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH)’s Post

July is #UVSafetyMonth - Even though radiation from UV light is invisible, it can be harmful to skin and eyes. UV exposure is associated with most skins cancers. It can affect eyes and lead to cataracts, cornea damage and vision loss long term. The sun is at its peak between 10am-4pm. Stay indoors or in shade when possible during these times and if not use sunscreen of at least 30 SPF. Wear a broad-brimmed hat, sunglasses and breathable clothing that covers you up.
