Over the past four years of IPSS events, it has been a tradition to have an artist from Drawing Change visually represent key takeaways from the panels at our conferences. This graphic highlights the key takeaways from the panel Redefining Collaborative Development in Treaty 8 Territory, sponsored by Ovintiv. Here’s what we took away from the discussion: 1️⃣ The health of the land is intricately linked to the health of the people of the land. 2️⃣ There is great value in creating opportunities in local communities. 3️⃣ Indigenous people are proud of their land and want to be involved in everything that affects it. 4️⃣ Reinforcing the importance of open communication, it’s clear that transparency, trust, and honesty are foundational in building long-term relationships. 5️⃣ And, remember, never show up without lunch! #economicreconciliation #undrip #IndigenousCanada

It was a great pleasure to participate to the UITP Executive and Policy boards with great quality and intensity of discussions around #sustainable #mobility and #publictransport . The complex and uncertain environment we are in is driving changes in the way boards operate and shifting their attention from stability and predictability to agility, #resilience and #innovation . I sent my documents to #WES via #FedEx on Aug 9, 2023, and they were delivered promptly on Aug 14. Although WES confirmed receipt by Aug 31 and my institution responded within just 3 days, as of today, Sept 14, they are still in the "analyzing and evaluating" phase. Given the significant delay, it's quite clear that WES is swamped at the moment.
