On July 14, 1868, Alvin J. Fellows revolutionized construction by securing the first U.S. patent for a spring-click tape measure, a tool that has become indispensable in our daily lives. Today, we celebrate #NationalTapeMeasureDay in his honor!   Mastering fractions and reading a tape measure is vital for #Access2Industry, Apache's entry-level apprentices, to pass the "Construction Math" module of their Core training. We're thrilled about a new partnership between the NCCER National Center for Construction Education and Research and If I Had A Hammer, Inc. This collaboration brings the innovative HammerMath® and HammerBuild® programs to more students, enhancing math comprehension through engaging, applied math education, exercises, and projects.   This initiative provides high schools and community colleges with a unique opportunity to strengthen their construction programs and enhance students' math skills. It will give entry-level apprentices, like those entering Apache’s Access II Industry program, an advantage and impart beneficial life skills to all school-age students.   Happy National Tape Measure Day! https://lnkd.in/eAagw5MG

Last week, we proudly partnered with NextOp Veterans and the City of Houston Mayor's Office who hosted an Employment Readiness Workshop for veterans and transitioning service members!
