👉History doesn't remember the first that tried - only the first that succeeded The first to invent a motorized airplane are the Wright brothers - but the first to try is Clément Ader. Have you ever heard of him? 👉Initial failure is not fatal - as long as you stay in the race. Michael Phelps didn't win even a single bronze in his first Olympics in 2000. But he stayed on track and won 6 gold medals at the next Olympics in 2004. 👉Rest is a fundamental part of the race. Slow down every once in a while. Marathon racers slow down or come to a complete stop to drink water. Would any of them have finished their races dehydrated? 🔻 Share this with your friends and colleagues to let them know you want to see them WIN!🔻 #Motivation #SuccessMindset #NeverGiveUp #DreamBig #InspireOthers #DigitalMarketing

The long-awaited 44th edition of the biennial Ryder Cup returns to Europe (Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 1) at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy. Founded in 1927 as a match-play tournament between the US and Great Britain, the competition pits the best golfers from the United States against their European counterparts in a pressure-cooker format. It’s a master class in course and team management, strategy, tactics, gamesmanship—and mind games—where fervent fans cheer bad shots and missed putts. Although the United States leads the series 27-14, the era of American domination is long past. In fact, the US team hasn’t won on European soil in 25 years. Pressure? Yes, indeed. That’s the opposite of this matchup of six international homes (three in the United States and three in Europe) that offer world-class golf just steps from the fairways—with all the creature comforts of home.

How does golf improve your personal and professional life? I love golf for many reasons. It's not just because of the social side, the exercise, the fresh air, the mental health benefits. Over the past 4 years I've started to realise that golf a great source of insights and analogies on how to approach life in general. Examples listed below. Blog series pending. 😉 - Roadmaps and goal setting: short-term (next shot); intermediate(current hole); long-term (round). - Don't change too much at once. Make small, incremental improvements. - Work on maintaining change. We all have natural tendencies we revert back to. - Practice! This is not The Matrix. We can't all just 'know kung fu'! - Feedback: Use data; video your swing; get a lesson. - We make mistakes. Bad shots happen. It's about how we react and what we do next. - Imposter syndrome: Everyone else isn't the perfect golfer. They don't watch and judge you. They're too busy struggling with their own game. Laugh about it and work together to get better. - The list goes on... Cheadle Golf Club is friendly, relaxed, and promises to be in great condition for the coming summer months. Loads of facilities available for team building, meetings, functions, etc. See Cheadle Golf Club's About page for more details. And anyone who wants to join me for 9 holes, just let me know. We can play for 10p a hole. 😎🤑 #golf #improvement #lessonslearned
🔦 Member Spotlight: Paul Mellor 🔦 Our next golfing spotlight shines on one of the coolest kids in the club, Paul Mellor, our current Men’s Champion. Not many people are cool enough to wear a cap back to front, but Paul definitely is, along with Jürgen Klopp. Observing a strict shorts policy between April and October, we are treated to the sight of Paul’s legs for the entire golfing season, whatever the weather! Paul’s laid back, supportive playing style makes him an ideal partner but he is currently spoken for on (and off) the course, so form an orderly queue. Paul’s perfect day off work is to play 9 holes, then take lunch on the terrace with a good book – living the dream. Thank you Paul for taking part – wishing you a successful year at Cheadle Golf Club! #ClubChampion #HairyLegs #TooCoolForSchool 😎 England Golf
