Why do people here write weird life stories with very short single sentence paragraphs that end with epiphanies and sign-ups to courses?

Much respect to the people who actually know who they are connected to on here making this platform remotely useful ❤️

1. Food is something we all need to consume every day to be alive. 2. How we currently produce food destroys the ecosystems we depend on to produce that food. 3. If we don't change what we're doing, at some point, we will have no food. How is this not the biggest problem we face? How are more smart people not doing something about this?

If you run a business purely for profit, hire people who care about money.  If you run a business to make a change, hire people who give a damn.

The new world of creators being CPG "founders" is the new version of the celebrity athlete endorsing (aka selling out) to the highest Big Food bidder. It's uninspiring and an awful example of how to create value. At its worst it is exploitative and gross. Just like athlete X doesn't drink Sprite and eat McDonald's to fuel their pursuits, creator Y doesn't consume any of the trash they create. It's all about the money. What could possibly be the point of gaining millions of followers only to sell them some bullshit Gen Z branded Hershey bar or Gatorade replacement other than to extract as much money from them as humanly possible? This is a far more insidious path in the creator world than with athletes. Most creators exist purely to harvest attention solely to monetize them via selling garbage. At least athletes are famous for being qualified at something other than extraction. Do you know of any creators who have built an audience that have launched a brand to actually improve the quality of lives of their followers?

Here is my (free) annual review and planning template. This is by far one of the single most impactful things I do each year. I've used it for 10+ years to clarify purpose, set, and achieve goals like:  Grow my practice to 6 locations in 3 years  Launch e-comm brands and do $150mm+ in 4 years  Sell my businesses and become a farmer Yes, it is excessive. But it's what is needed for me to counteract all of the inbound craziness that is this modern world and tune into what I actually want, and figure out how to get there.  I personally just took four days mostly off the grid in a cabin in the tundra to work through this.
