“QUOTED IN PELLA’S STANDARD SIZE” One of the first quality control checks I do prior to start of framing is to compare my window order to the plans onsite. Frequently the architects window schedule may be based off a very particular window size or an alternate window brand that was changed during buyout. This was a relatively inexpensive lesson I learned on a much smaller 2-family renovation project earlier in my career when all the windows arrived slightly larger than the framed openings. A good reminder to “walk, jog, run” as you scale up. Lessons like these are far less painful on small projects.
