It's the story of david and goliath, how corporate lobbist petition city governments to halt the use of short-term rentals, also known as airbnbs. Miami Beach and New York City are examples of this. The best part, then they turn around and offer a similar service. I hear all the arguments, and with the case of most arguments, there is a common ground where all parties can carve out their own niche. Just like hotel chains, you have your 5 stars and your seedy drives - I have stayed in plenty of both. Read the reviews and choose what is best for you and your stay expectations.
