A really interesting session!

In May, I had the privilege of delivering a speech at The United Nations' 2023 Global Solutions Summit, where I discussed the importance of formulating roadmaps to address the specific technological and sustainable development requirements of developing nations. During my presentation, I placed particular emphasis on the pivotal role of roads as the backbone of economic advancement. It was fascinating to engage with delegates from countries all over the world and gain insights into their unique challenges and experiences concerning climate change and the development of road infrastructure. Climate finance must expand by over 6X to reach $4.35 trillion annually by 2030 for the world to meet critical climate goals, according to a new Oxford Climate Tech Initiative report. The analysis also reveals there is insufficient access to climate tech solutions in developing countries and vulnerable populations, with only 8% of energy transition investments in 2021 going to emerging markets. What does this mean for climate tech companies and the future of climate action?
