Here is an interesting article following up on my post last week about celebrity-backed alcohol brands I had no idea about how the process worked to make tequila. Agave that should be harvested at eight to nine years old is now being picked at only three to four years, he explains. "Which means there's just not going to be enough sugar." Both experts say these shortcuts are corrected later with additives, making less pure, lower-quality tequila. #fmcg #tequila #alcohol https://lnkd.in/gY2ahsrn

What is additive-free tequila? Put simply, additive-free tequila is made without any artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors. It's all about embracing tequila's pure, authentic taste, just as nature intended. Additive-free distilleries must be super transparent about their production process, and you'd be surprised at some of the major brands that don't fall into this category. When you enjoy a bottle of Valor, the rich flavors are all thanks to two ingredients - mature agave and water. Nothing more. Next time you're looking for an exquisite agave experience, remember to choose additive-free. #ValorTequila #DrinkValor #GuenteBuena #AdditiveFree #MadeinJalisco #PremiumTequila #SmallBatchTequila #BlueAgave #Tequila

⭐ Not all Non-Alc Beers are created equality - Brand Spotlight ⭐ ️ The NA market had made waves over the past year. It’s a sector that I’ve grown extremely passionate about for what it stands for - the inclusivity and ability to connect both drinkers and non drinkers. Yesterday, I highlighted my time at the Natural Products Expo West and mentioned a few brands. One brand in particular that stood out was RationAle Brewing and founders Jamie Fay / Wendy Pickett When I talk about brands, I think it’s imperative that they stand for something and incorporate that into their messaging, packaging, marketing, etc. What do I love most about RationAle? 🔷The messaging: “We craft unmistakably great non-alcoholic brews that satisfy all your beer needs so that if you're not boozing at the moment, for whatever reason, you don't miss a thing.” 🔷They put a spotlight on that inclusivity. 🔷Their Positioning: They position themselves as a true lifestyle brand that is for the Mavericks out there. 🔷The Packaging: Everything about their design, logo and can showcases that lifestyle and matches their overall marketing. With the NA beer market continuing to grow, I consider RationAle a brand with a ton of potential in this space. What NA beers do you see as top players in this emerging space? Name some brands below that I should check out! 👇 #nonalcoholic #alcoholfree #sobercurious #soberlifestyle #nonalcoholicbeer #beverages #beverageindustry #beveragetrends #beverageinnovation #zeroproof #zeroabv #beer #beveragetrends

In the realm of consumer preferences, the spirits market mirrors the cyclical nature of fashion, experiencing shifts in what's deemed trendy. This observation has been a driving force behind the inception of AJORNADA. From a consumer adoption perspective, the spirits market, particularly Tequila and Mezcal, grapples with several significant challenges: 1. Saturation of Brands: The market is oversaturated with a multitude of tequila brands, often lacking distinct product or brand differentiators. Last year alone, over 300 new tequila brands emerged, intensifying the competition for limited shelf space. 2. Ubiquity in Cocktails: Tequila's omnipresence in bars and restaurants is undeniable. Regardless of the brand, a quick glance at any cocktail menu reveals a substantial portion dedicated to tequila or mezcal-based drinks, reaching a saturation point reminiscent of an overplayed pop song. 3. Proliferation of Celebrity Brands: The allure of tequila has attracted numerous celebrity founders, saturating the market with brands that may lack authenticity. While celebrity endorsements can add value, an excess of such brands dilutes the category's cultural significance for those seeking genuine experiences. 4. Agave Sustainability Concerns: The demand for agave, essential for tequila and mezcal production, raises sustainability issues. Limited growth locations, a lengthy maturation period of at least 8 years, and escalating demand contribute to potential future unsustainable practices. While the future of tequila and mezcal isn't facing extinction, I anticipate a reduction in the overall number of brands in the market. Moreover, I foresee a shift towards growth in alternative spirit categories, such as Rum and Vodka, along with the emergence of lesser-known options like Pisco, Sotol, and Cachaça. This transformation signifies a dynamic evolution in consumer preferences within the spirits landscape and a massive opportunity for whoever can break-through in those lesser-known and growing categories.

Wine Brands - Top 10 most valuable wine brands in the world One Chinese producer hot on the heels of Champagne’s top contender. While one Champagne brand continues to top the list, a Chinese label has rocketed in terms of valuation, and is quickly catching up. Moët & Chandon maintained its global lead, however, the brand saw value drop by 10% to US$1.3 billion, the report showed. Champagne may be seeing a decline in sales in 2023, but Chinese wine is on the up.
