Hello everyone! During week five of my internship, I evaluated our utilization of Ad Assets/Extensions across all enabled Google Search campaigns. Next, I created a new list of Callouts and Sitelinks to propose activating within our account. So far, I was able to publish approved Callouts (i.e a type of google search ad asset) in all of our Search campaigns, including our 4th of July campaign! Sometimes, Google automatically creates assets (aka ACAs) for ad groups, and I was able to review and conduct a quality assurance check on all of those in our account. We have historically seen that ACAs are a constant pain point, primarily because Google adds assets we either do not need or would not have added on our own. I am also starting to research keywords for my first attempt at creating new Search campaigns. (Two campaigns!) For now, I am working through planning the strategic outline/proposal for the campaigns. Next, I will work to complete audience selection, budget planning, and creative/copy ideation, along with a few other steps in the coming week(s). And, I even helped the team draft our May Performance Summary that will be presented at our next department-wide team meeting. This time around, I looked at performance data, both compared to May of last year and April of this year, noting changes and areas/opportunities where we can improve our messaging.
