Over the last 2.5 months, I’ve been nonstop sewing bowl cozies in preparation for The Big Gay Market craft fair at The Alliant Center in Madison. This was my first 2-day event and to make the best impression, I hired my friend Jennifer Lindsley to update my branding. Jenny perfectly captured what I wanted in such a quick turnaround. (Thank you so much!!) This event was so well organized and I adored seeing the smiles and double takes of shoppers passing by. It was also lovely networking with fellow vendors and hearing stories and receiving feedback from my patrons. Here are my stats from the weekend: -33% of inventory sold, up 7% from average -Over 50% increase in sales compared to my average craft fair day -3 repeat shoppers -1 new wholesale lead Here’s what I’ve learned: -Don’t be afraid to take that big leap -Ask friends for help and collaborate -Your brand takes time, but once you gather the pieces you need, things look crazy professional -Staying up late the night before to paint that bunting was SO WORTH IT
Congratulations, Anna! That is so awesome. I am really happy for you!!
