Good onboarding is a critical part of the recruitment process that can maximise your return on investment. Having this in place will give new employees a great first impression and set's them up for success from day one. 🔸 Prepare for the new employee, have everything set up 🔸 Make sure they have access to all software 🔸 Make introductions to the whole team 🔸 Plan a team lunch 🔸 Allow plenty of time for training and have training manuals in place 🔸 Follow-up with regular 121's give feedback and ask for theirs 🔸 Have a personalised progression plan in place #onboarding

Wonderful points Anna. Often it feels like companies just wing it with onboarding. One other point that is crucial is to assess and know the limitation of a new employee so that the training and personal progression plans can be prepared properly. Also so both the employer and employee are on the same page. A lot of professional relationships break down because of disappointment in the ability of the employee, and that is not necessarily the employees fault.
