Digitizing carbon accounting and net zero targets

🗣 "where [Houston] truly takes off is in its economic heft and wealth, ranking Top 3 in the country for both Fortune 500 companies in town and our Patents subcategory, and Top 5 in our overall Prosperity index. While hometown companies like ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and Phillips 66 have ensured that 40% of Houston’s economy is tied directly or indirectly to oil and gas, the energy talent in the city has made it an unlikely green power destination. According to a recent McKinsey report, investment of up to $250 billion may be headed Houston’s way by 2040 to leverage the skilled workforce and existing infrastructure." 💪 Pound-for-pound, #Houston is definitely a top major city (1M+) in the US. Those of us who've lived here for awhile, know - and now the secret (unfortunately) is out. 💰 Relatively low cost of living 😋 Delicious food from all corners of the world ✈ Gateway to Latin America and direct flights to other major cities around the world 🏈 Professional baseball (let's go 'stros), basketball, football, and soccer (National Hockey League (NHL) - bring us a team!) 🏥 The top ranked cancer center in the US 🔌 THE Energy Capital of the World ... and the Energy Transition capital 🎶 Beyonce, Kenny Rogers, Travis Scott, Lizzo, Lyle Lovett, Clint Black, Meg, Arcade Fire, Bun B, Scarface... 🗺 Culture - ethnic diversity on par with NYC with a mix of the West + the South that makes Houston unique "Austin may get the attention, but the promise of the Lone Star State drawing Californians and New Yorkers is quietly being fulfilled in Houston" https://lnkd.in/g4_kb4TA
