🥂 🙌 🍾 Back from paternity leave and excited to be back into business 🍾 🙌 🥂 Thanks to all the Nutanix team and particularly the #CustomerSuccess team for covering my patch during my leave. You blew my mind away with your involvement and quality work. Another successful fiscal quarter and year for all of us 💪 Some highlights of this year: - 2 promotions (Senior SDR & Customer Success Representative) - 4 successful quarters (110-185%) - 2 new EMEA regions to work with (🇪🇸 🇵🇹) - 15+ Nutanix talents trained/coached - 1 new language learned (Spanish) - 1 on the way (Catalan) - Nutanix' amazing success (new products - +10% YoY on revenues - stock +60% YoY - CEO Rajiv Ramaswami named by CRN as N°1 Innnovator 23) Now on to a next fiscal year with even bigger successes!

This week, I faced a significant change: I was laid off.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It's a moment that could easily lead to worry and uncertainty about the future. Yet, a powerful thought keeps coming to my mind: "Don’t get weary in well-doing."⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In times like these, I've learned the importance of self-conviction, not as a means of self-critique, but as a tool for self-reflection and growth. It raises a fundamental question: Do we hold onto our beliefs only when the times are good, or do they stand firm even when our circumstances change?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m reminding myself: I can either focus on an uncertain future or embrace the present moment. Right now, in this moment, I am okay. And that’s a powerful realization.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I choose to see this not as an end, but as a stepping stone to whatever comes next. There's a lesson here, a moment of growth, and an opportunity to strengthen the beliefs that define who I am.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Thank you VMware for the incredible experience, the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and for validating me in more ways than you could ever inagine. ⁣⁣ To anyone facing similar challenges: remember, your current situation is not your final destination. It's just a part of the journey.⁣⁣

After 60 days as a Broadcom "employee", it's officially time to turn the page. The last 6 companies I've worked for have all been acquired, so I am no stranger to this pivot. Being acquired at VMware was a little different because it was the largest tech acquisition in history ($69B deal) and an 18-month process. I had plenty of opportunities along the way to take a parachute, but I'm glad I stayed and can genuinely say I left it all on the field. The journey wasn't easy with Pivotal being acquired by VMware 6 months after starting in June 2019, switching from selling software to services after 9 months, scrapping to make quota through Covid, exceeding 300% of quota in 2021, and being promoted to a sales leader in 2022. I am thankful for all the support along the way and the success we had at Pivotal / VMware Tanzu. I wish my former colleagues the best of luck and look forward to keeping in touch. If I can be of any assistance whatsoever to anyone impacted or to those looking to make a proactive move, please let me know. I'll be starting a new gig next week (more to come) and I'll close with a few learnings I've had in recent memory: 1) Bet on yourself - don't be afraid to take a risk; you're more powerful and have more to offer than you realize 2) Follow your passion - don't settle for good enough; if you're stuck, speak up and/or take action to unleash your superpowers 3) Mind the gap - there are a lot of great leaders but also many who don't belong; don't let them hold you back from achieving your goals and dreams

There is no dream team 😊, but it’s teamwork that makes the dream work! So here is a thank-you note and squishy bear hug to all my colleagues who not only motivate each other but also encourage us to work better than the rest. Three cheers to the team that came together for a get-together where we laughed, danced, and had a great time. But it wasn't just about the fun (though we had plenty of that). Hey LinkedIn, I was included in the recent layoffs following Broadcom's acquisition of VMware. I reflect on my journey with gratitude for the chance to contribute to such a remarkable Customer Success team. Despite the transition, VMware has been instrumental in expanding my Customer Success skillset. I successfully managed various large enterprise customers during my tenure, ensuring high activation, adoption, and expansion. How did I grow with VMware?: - I provided quick time to value for VMware Aria Suite SAAS products. A suite of products designed to help organizations manage, automate, and optimize their hybrid cloud environments. - Navigated customer concerns and feedback. Escalating cases with a plan of action, ensuring solutions and customer advocacy. - Project managed internal projects that aligned with corporate goals for customer success. - Maintained a high product activation, expansion, and renewal metric. Additionally, I played a crucial role in developing a Customer Journey Playbook for our customer success team. This project led to an opportunity to align our team on each customer journey stage. More importantly, helping the team create a streamlined customer experience. As I navigate this transition, I have over ten years of experience in various industries. I’m excited about Customer Success opportunities where my skills and experience can continue to drive positive change, and I welcome any support or introductions from my network. Nothing lasts forever: after nearly seven years, my time at VMware/Broadcom came to an end last week. It was a great ride as I deepened my technology knowledge, leveled up my product management skills, and developed close relationships with my colleagues that I hope will continue into the future. Highlights of my tenure include getting a broad product portfolio to unify on a single, modern identity strategy; presenting at VMware Explore/VMworld five times; owning security and compliance for one of the most complex software products there is; and tons of mentoring and knowledge sharing for the benefit of my terrific coworkers. Now it's time to figure out what comes next.
