Raging Bull - the Lamborghini Revuelto! Sporting a 6.5L V12 making 814hp and a trio of electric motors making a combined 187hp, two of which sit on the front axle allowing for torque vectoring during both acceleration & regenerative braking. All resulting in the Revuelto making a total of 1001hp. By all intents and purposes though, the electric motors are there for instant torque/performance, not EV driving. All of this mated to a 8-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission. This culminates in a 2.5 sec 0-60 and a 0-120mph in 7.0, just .5 seconds behind the Bugatti Chiron. Of course these numbers don't always translate to all real-world conditions, but impressive numbers nonetheless. This particular example is finished in a two-tone fade from Rosso Bia in the front, to Nero Granatus in the back. That theme continues on the inside as well. Furious performance - the Dauer 962 LM! Dauer Sportswagen (formerly Dauer Racing) built 2 racing chassis's, which were GT002 & GT003 that were used in competition. However, a third chassis was made available to use at Le Mans if needed, GT001. The car pictured. Though it never raced, it was actually the prototype for the race cars, built from Porsche 962 chassis 962-169. The Dauer 962 LM is powered by a 3.0L Twin Turbo Flat-6 making 720hp. That power is then routed to the wheels via a 5-Speed manual transmission. Weight came in at 2300lbs (1080kg). This was good for a 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and an independently measured 251.4mph in 1998. In 1994, the Dauer 962 LM was able to pull off a win at Le Mans. Up to this point, the Porsche 962 was starting dwindle in competitiveness. With so many changes happening so fast in Group C, the old boys just didn't have the pep to keep up. However, in 1993 the Automobile Club de l'Ouest or ACO accidentally created a loophole in their new homologation requirements. They didn't specify how many road-going examples were needed to race. Given the fact Dauer had already converted a road version of the Porsche 962, Porsche found a way to get back into competition with this updated Dauer 962. Dauer showed up to Le Mans with Porsche in support the following year and outlasted the field to win Le Mans. One of a kind - the 2000 Lotec Sirius! Developed and built by German tuner Lotec, the Sirius was the company's first attempt at an actual production car. Though, "production" is a loose term here due to the fact this was the one and only example believed to have been made. Kurt Lotterschmid, the company's founder, wanted to build something that could compete with the upper echelon of the industry at the time. What was created was a serious machine. So what powers this beast? A Mercedes-Benz M120 6.0L V12. The same engine used in the early Pagani Zonda C12 examples. Lotec slapped on a pair of turbos to uplift to the power. Estimates put peak power at around 1200hp with 980lb-ft of torque on highest output settings. This put performance at a 3.5 second 0-60mph and an estimated 249mph top speed. Solid numbers all-around. Top tier Legend - the McLaren F1! As we know, each F1 has some sort of story. Whether it is a racing history, an interesting ownership history or a build history. Chassis 022 is no exception either. It was originally ordered by Thomas Bscher in 1994. You may know the name, as Bscher piloted a F1 GTR to several wins, including winning the Global & European GT Championships. Oh, Bscher also went on to head Bugatti and was responsible for the introduction of the Veyron. As for the car itself, it started life finished in Genesis Dark Blue. It wasn't a garage queen either. Bscher frequently commuted with it, being said that he routinely surpassed 200mph on the Autobahn. He notoriously drove it hard. In 2003, it was sold to Miles Collier who sent it back to McLaren MSO (McLaren Customer Care back then) for a $300k restoration. The finish was changed to the green you see here, though it should be noted it doesn't technically have an official name. Sage, Metallic Green and Money Green have all been used to describe the color. It has metallic flakes in it that really give it a beautiful sheen in the sunlight. On the interior, it is trimmed in tan leather. Making this example a truly classic spec. In 2008, Collier founded the Revs Institute in Naples, Florida to display some of the finest cars in the world. Chassis 022 being one of them. Though, in this photo the car was out and about during the Amelia Island Concours.
