If you're not using distilled water to clean your equipment, you should de-scale it to remove mineral buildup every month. Even if you don't see it, mineral buildup can happen. I recently spent a month in Italy, and my airway clearance equipment was coated in a white powder! Tap water can be high in minerals, according to the manufacturers of the Aerobika and Aeroeclipse nebulizing cups. This can cause scale buildup on your Aerobika OPEP device and nebulizing cup and impact their functioning. With this in mind, a good monthly practice is to soak the disassembled device in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water for 1 hour, then wash and disinfect as normal. Please do not confuse de-scaling with sterilizing. White vinegar is considered a low level of sterilization. And don't forget to check your compressor filter to see if it needs to be changed. 🧠 Discussion Time: Changing Techniques in Mechanical Thrombectomy for Ischemic Stroke A recent study, "Early technique switch following failed passes during mechanical thrombectomy for ischemic stroke: should the approach change and when?,” delves into the question of when and how to alter the technical approach during #endovasculartherapy (EVT) to achieve optimal outcomes. 🔍 Key Findings: Technique Switching: Switching from stent retriever (SR) to a combined technique (CT) after two failed passes significantly increases the chances of successful reperfusion. Changing from Contact Aspiration (CA) to CT after one or two failed CA attempts also shows higher success rates. Switching from CA to SR or from CT to CA after failed attempts does not significantly improve reperfusion rates. An optimal wound-healing process needs good communication between the immune and biological systems. Long-term wounds can cause dangerous infections, so finding new ways to treat them is important. Our goal was to create an ointment that speeds up skin healing. We made tiny particles called PNAG NPs using a special method. These PNAG NPs are cell-friendly and enhance wound healing. Tests on animals showed that the PNAG ointment improved wound healing by 31% compared to a group with no treatment. Inflammation levels decreased in the treated group, and there was an increase in IGF-1, which helps blood vessel growth and wound healing. This study suggests that PNAG NPs can aid cell cooperation, reduce inflammation, and regenerate skin naturally.
