In every diamond, there's a universe of brilliance waiting to be explored. At Belrose Diamonds, we take pride in the precision and expertise that goes into crafting each exquisite gem. Let's take a look at what makes our stones shine so brilliantly: 𝐂𝐮𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Perhaps the most crucial factor, the cut of a diamond determines how effectively it interacts with light. A diamond with an excellent cut reflects and refracts light in a way that maximises its sparkle, making cut quality a key consideration in diamond grading. 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲: The polish and symmetry of a diamond's facets are critical for maximising its sparkle. A well-polished diamond allows light to enter/exit a diamond without interference, while excellent symmetry means that the facets are properly aligned so light is distributed evenly. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞: In the world of diamonds, "fire" refers to the ability of a diamond to disperse light into the colours of the spectrum. This is closely related to the diamond's cut and the angles of its facets. The arrangement of facets is designed for optimal brilliance and sparkle. The sparkle of diamonds is a dance of light, reflections, and refractions orchestrated by the diamond's cut, facets, and optical properties. How do you unleash a diamond's brilliance? Through its cut! A diamond's cut, including its proportions and symmetry, determines how light reflects inside the stone. An Excellent cut grade ensures brightness, sparkle, and fire, while poorly cut diamonds can appear dull with dark patches. This trio of diamonds, graded from left to right as Excellent, Good, and Poor, demonstrates why cut is so important. TVD💎: https://lnkd.in/dwCeK4dv

Why does the Diamond Color Grading System begin with D not A? Many color grading systems were used by the traders in old times. Some of them started with the letters (A, AA, AAA; A, B and C, with multiple A’s for the best stones) and some with numbers: Arabic (0, 1, 2, 3) and Roman (I, II, III). That was very confusing. The Gemological Institute of America decided to have a fresh start and created a new system. This allows to avoid any confusion with the previous ones. So the GIA Diamond Grading Chart has ranging from Perfect, Colorless “D” to Yellowish, Brownish “Z”. #lgdeal #diamondsmarketplace #labgrowndiamonds
