Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.-Mark Twain Our GM holiday meeting was so impactful. Taking care of ourselves first means we can take care of others. We embraced the 3C's (clarity, commitment and courage)= CARE. We also leaned in on our Guest Engagement Leadership model and how project JOY will give us a world class experience in store like no other. My peer Monica Wright and I enjoyed each other's company so much, we even decided to dress alike. #projectjoy #ultabeauty #holidaymeeting #gmpeer #holiday #lovewhatyoudo #grinch

𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 Thanksgiving is a time for us to reflect on gratitude, appreciation, and the power they hold in our personal lives and within the fabric of leadership and the corporate sphere. Beyond the traditional festivities, Thanksgiving holds valuable lessons that resonate powerfully in the corporate landscape, especially in the realm of leadership. At its core, leadership is not solely about driving results or achieving targets; it's about fostering an environment where individuals feel valued, motivated, and empowered. Thanksgiving serves as an opportune moment to underscore the importance of these values in the corporate context. 1. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥: Great leaders understand the significance of acknowledging and appreciating their team's efforts. A simple "thank you" can go a long way in motivating employees, boosting morale, and fostering a positive work environment. It's not just about recognizing achievements but also appreciating the dedication and hard work that goes into everyday tasks. 2. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬: Thanksgiving is a celebration of togetherness, much like how effective teams operate. Leaders who promote a culture of gratitude create stronger bonds within their teams. When team members feel appreciated for their contributions, they are more likely to collaborate better, communicate openly, and support each other, leading to increased productivity and innovation. 3. 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: An attitude of thankfulness from leadership resonates throughout an organization, encouraging employees to be more engaged. When employees feel valued and appreciated, they are more likely to feel committed to the organization's goals, leading to higher retention rates and overall satisfaction. 4. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐛𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞: Authentic leadership involves leading by example. When leaders express gratitude openly and regularly, they set a precedent for others to follow suit. #LeadershipGratitude #CorporateThanksgiving #GratefulLea #prism #prism360evolution

I love it! That’s the first thing someone will say if you ask them about their new job that's going really well. You know what they won’t say? The free water bottle they gave me when I joined is awesome! The pizza they bring in on Thursdays is some of the best I’ve ever had! The poster on the wall that says Teamwork, with the crew team all rowing in perfect sync, and the sun just coming up? Very inspiring! No, they won’t say any of that, what they’ll say is “I love it”. That’s the standard. That’s what people want, what they’re looking for, and what they expect. How do you deliver it? Simple, but not easy. Create an environment where people feel heard, valued, believed in, and inspired. Start with listening. And feel the love. #culture #leadership #employeeexperience

Ever noticed how in our industry, big wins get all the glory? Team lunches, leadership recognition, the works! But here's a secret to creating lasting impact: recognize those small, everyday victories of your colleagues and subordinates. Imagine this: Your teammate finally tames the wild beast that is Excel, and you shout it out. Or your friend at work cracks the code on that stubborn project issue, and you celebrate with a round of bhajiya/pani puri party. These moments are the true game-changers. 🎉 Not only do you hit your targets and objectives, but you also create a beautiful tapestry of memories and a close-knit circle of friends. It's the small things that build a great team and make work feel like a second home. So, next time someone aces a task or conquers a minor hurdle, be their cheerleader #CelebrateSmallWins #TeamSpirit #WorkLifeBalance #OfficeHumor

A sincere appreciation of one’s work is crucial to maintaining productivity and morale. That’s why I make it a point to say thank you to each of my team members every day. Before I leave for the day, I find every one of them and say thank you. Because it is a retail establishment, it is impossible to have every team member in the store at the same time. That’s why I’m thankful for an internal appreciation platform-so I can post items like the one below. This way, every team member can get a sense of the true appreciation I have for them. #team #teamwork #appreciation #proud #leadership #partycity #partycityteam

Become the Leader Everyone Wants to Work For | Build Individual & Team Resilience | Learn How to Motivate & Encourage Teammates | Create the Environment Everyone Wants to Work In | Veteran
Learning what motivates your team members is one of the most challenging, yet most rewarding, things a leader gets to do. Getting to know each team member and to understand them deeper than just what their professional strengths and weaknesses are. Getting to know your employees and what motivates them not only gives you insights into that motivation aspect, it also builds a trusting relationship that can multiply that team's impact by 10X. As you demonstrate interest in your employees beyond just work, and demonstrate vulnerability and let them get to know you, your relationship grows. You begin to develop credibility by demonstrating you care about them as people. You also get a reputation as the kind of leader people want to work for and the type of manager that gets results for the company. That is what trust is all about. #Credibility, demonstrating leadership #behaviors, #aligning personal and professional interests for you and your team, and building a #reputation of being the leader and manager teams and businesses can count on. #leadbyexample #leadershipmatters #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipcoach #trust
