After talking with a Project Manager last week about long term motel stays, I thought it timely to share a few reasons why considering alternative solutions for accommodation are beneficial. Staying long term in a motel can have several drawbacks: Cost: Motels are typically designed for short-term stays and can be expensive if you're paying nightly rates over an extended period, likely around $1000 to $1400 weekly. They often lack amenities that alternative accommodation like apartments or houses offer. Limited Amenities: Motels usually provide basic amenities like a bed, bathroom, and perhaps breakfast, but they may lack facilities like kitchens for cooking and fridge / freezers to store food or individual laundry services. This can make long-term stays inconvenient, expensive for the individual, likewise unhealthy, especially if you to eat out frequently or use laundromats.
