It’s hard to hear your own voice and even harder to rewatch a presentation 😬 I took the opportunity to record part of my ‘Condition Monitoring Workshop’ from a couple of weeks ago. In this one minute clip I’m trying to get over the futility of fixed time planned maintenance when randomness rules. If the vast majority of failures are random how can a fixed time PM address that… my own view is that most PMs aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. I always start by introducing RCM when talking about Condition Monitoring, it helps answers the question of why we should invest and include it in our maintenance strategy 🧐 #RCM #ConditionMonitoring #CBM #ReliabilityCentredMaintenance #Moubray #NowlanAndHeap #Workshop #UptimeConsultant #Maintenance #Engineering

Planned maintenance is better than no maintenance, on condition maintenance is better than planned maintenance where applicable. Fair comment.
