RacketStats Voice to Text Notes (VTT) Using Voice to Text (VTT) notes for charting a tennis match offers invaluable benefits, enhancing the accuracy of data collection. Tennis matches are fast-paced, requiring immediate and precise recording of events, which can be challenging with traditional note-taking methods. VTT allows for real-time documentation, capturing intricate details such as player movements, behavior, shot types, and rally lengths without interrupting the flow of the match. One primary advantage of VTT is its ability to capture data hands-free, enabling analysts or coaches to maintain focus on the match. This method reduces the likelihood of missing critical moments due to the distraction of writing. Furthermore, the immediate digital format of VTT notes facilitates quick analysis and sharing. Data can swiftly provide coaches with timely feedback to players. This rapid turnaround is crucial for making strategic adjustments during or between matches. In summary, using Voice to Text notes streamlines the process of charting a tennis match, enhances the precision of recorded data, and significantly speeds up the analysis and feedback loop, making it an indispensable tool for modern tennis analytics. Players DO NOT Mix up their SERVES How do we know? After charting two years of college men's and women's matches, it is obvious that fewer than 10% of the players mix their serves well. Tennis Analytics proves that this is true even at the collegiate level. The reason might be that their opponent has a glaring weakness to pick on. So the server will bombard this side to win their serve. The great Bill Tilden once said that he looked forward to his opponent picking on his weakness so that it could be improved, but few players have that philosophy. There are 28 smartphone apps for Apple and Google that can be used to see if your player indeed, mixes up their serves. And by the way, players don't argue with numbers. www.RacketStats.com
