We all talk about impact, but how do we measure it? What can we learn from others? And how do we hold ourselves accountable?   The Autodesk FY24 Impact Report is one of my favourite reads every year. I know I sound biased when I say it's a great report, but I genuinely believe it's one that provides many valuable insights into the work we are doing to help the world design and build better. There are three areas in which we create meaningful impact. The first is improving our operations by elevating sustainable business practices by setting the culture, governance, and operations that help make this happen. The second is partnering with our customers to achieve a positive impact at scale by working with them to deliver sustainable outcomes. The third is helping advance the industries we serve by accelerating their transition to being more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive. And we do this all in a time of increasingly complex global challenges, a rapidly accelerating pace of change, and, in the short term, finite resources to address these issues. Despite these daunting challenges, the opportunity before us for sustainable growth and innovation is unprecedented.   Andrew Anagnost said it well: “The following report outlines our successes and challenges in this space. How our customers will work in a highly productive, highly creative environment to deliver projects.

From my personal experience of flood in my hometown, I think your idea is an effective approach to predict the affected systems and preventive measures. The interconnected systems (for example irrigation authorities and disaster control units) in a state can work together in a single platform, which can offer better solutions for government administrations. “Around the world, entire cities and towns are facing disruption. The planet is at an inflection point. Architecture and engineering must be part of the solution. Data – well structured, good granularity, accessible data sets are and will be increasingly valuable and critical to AEC companies. We all have them – understand them and use them. Translate your data into meaningful insights. 2. Embodied Carbon – The world is measuring embodied carbon. It’s time to move beyond disclosing and leap into action. Bold statements need to be supported by bold action. 3. Forma – It has the ability to revolutionise the AEC Industry, to break down the silos we work in and create an end-to-end workflow. We all need to lean into this. 4. AI – If you’re not using it, you need to be. If you don’t understand how it works before you use it, then you won’t be using it correctly. What data is it being fed and what will you feed it to drive your desired outcomes? 5. I’m truly proud of Warren and Mahoney’s approach to designing at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and culture - it is world-class with some truly leading and project-proven thought leadership.

Today Autodesk launched its second annual State of Design & Make Report! This year our team surveyed ~5,400 industry leaders, futurists, and experts from across the industries we support, including media & entertainment. The report revealed some unique insights around the current sentiment of #AI and how it is shaping business transformation.
