Did you know that most independent schools are registered charities and, therefore, benefit from an 80% reduction in their business rates? Whilst a future Labour government has now dropped plans to scrap independent schools charitable status to generate an additional £144m in business rates, they still appear intent on driving forward plans to add 20% VAT to independent school fees. #businessrates #independentschools #vat #charity
