Leadership isn't about power...it's about perspective. Imagine standing at the base of a mountain. The summit is shrouded in mist, the path forward unknown. This is your leadership challenge. But - What if I told you, there's a mental model that can act as your compass? First, Embrace the Unknown. Like the misty mountain peak, uncertainty is a key element of any leadership challenge. Instead of fearing it, welcome it as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Next, Understand the Landscape. Recognise the resources you have, the obstacles in your path, and the potential routes to the summit. This requires a deep understanding of your team, the organisation, and the market. Finally, Be Adaptable. Like a limber pine facing an avalanche. The path to the summit will not be linear. It will require agility and resilience. Be ready to pivot when necessary, but always keep your eyes on the peak. Remember, every peak scaled makes you a more seasoned climber.
