Agreed with this article - as more intermittent renewable energy is coming online (often benefitting distribution lines through smart inverters that can help regulate line voltage), there is a need and opportunity to upgrade the distribution and transmission network. Great to see more renewable energy in the development stages - build it!

Have you heard about the Renewable Energy Standard (H.289) bill currently looking to be passed in VT? While the bill has good intentions, it eliminates group net metering, which is the only true way for VT customers who do not have their own solar sites to have direct access to solar energy. Do you see something wrong with this? We do, too! Read our latest blog to get our thoughts, and let your Senator know that while we are all for renewable energy, this is not an equitable solution. https://lnkd.in/eBVcr5N2

As of last month, it was reported that Minnesota now joins the list of getting over 50% of its electricity from renewable energy!👏👏 With over 500MW of "wind and solar getting added" they're "anticipating that that's going to be even higher next year as" they continue to construct larger projects in 2024. It's awesome to see more states reaching the point of generating over half their electricity from some renewable projects that have taken years to build. https://lnkd.in/gJbQXq2X

Another major step forward for grid connection of large-scale renewable energy in Australia. The Connection Reform Initiative - a collaboration between Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) & Clean Energy Council - has been methodically working through the challenges in the grid connection process, and solving them. Thanks Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) for your work on this crucial reform & congratulations to Christiaan Zuur & Paul Beaton & the CEC team for your leadership as well as the many smart people across industry who have contributed. This is seriously complex work, but the sort of reform that is crucial to provide greater certainty to renewable energy investors in Australia. https://lnkd.in/gpAQEhWk
