🔹 By now it’s obvious to everyone that virtual care is here to stay. The key question though is: how can health centers, health systems, hospitals, and behavioral health agencies make virtual care an integral part of their care delivery? How can we achieve financial sustainability, clinical sustainability, and strategic sustainability? What approaches can we take to increase clinician buy-in and commitment by leadership? In this virtual event, I will share a set of pragmatic approaches, mindset models, and tactics to enable those who care about virtual care to make it stay. Register here: https://lnkd.in/e_iF_R7r

We are so proud to share that the South Florida Anchor Alliance has been featured in Activating Place-based Partnerships for Equitable Economic Development: A Playbook for Anchor Collaboratives. According to David Zuckerman, President & Founder of the Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN), “When I started in this work more than a decade ago, the phrase anchor collaborative did not exist. The idea that individual anchor institutions should intentionally leverage all of their assets—including their hiring, purchasing, investing, real estate, and voice—in concerted partnership with their peers and the community to improve economic mobility and build community wealth was not part of the conversation. Fast forward to today, and this idea has taken root in cities across the country.” The South Florida Anchor Alliance, a collaboration of 20 of the largest organizations and municipalities in South Florida, is one such example of an anchor collaborative that is intentionally leveraging all of their assets to improve economic mobility. Health Foundation Chief Strategy Officer, Janisse Schoepp, contributed to the playbook and served as a reviewer. She shares, “The importance of this Playbook is that it highlights national models of anchor collaboratives and disseminates lessons learned for other groups thinking about establishing their own anchor collaborative in their community. To be highlighted as one of the models nationally is very exciting and important in advancing the understanding of an emerging and promising approach to addressing social determinants of health and creating healthier communities.” We applaud the Healthcare Anchor Network for their work on the playbook and thank Janisse for her contributions to the effort. #SouthFloridaAnchorAlliance, #SFAARegionalMarketplace, #HealthFoundationSouthFlorida, #HealthcareAnchorNetwork

In my consulting role with Third Horizon Strategies and HC3, I was asked to review Mayor Brandon Johnson's Transition team report as it relates to Health and Human Services and contribute to a report. Overall, my interpretation of this report highlights the bold and visionary plan to acknowledge and address racist practices embedded in the US healthcare system while providing definitive goals to achieve better health outcomes for all Chicagoans through systems change, collaboration, culturally respectful services, and resource allocation. The full report establishes a number of goals including: - Fighting for policy and structural changes that transform the lives of Chicagoans - Developing, enhancing, and investing in integrated approaches to address the whole person -Build a Public Health Infrastructure that promotes and protects the health and well-being of Chicagoans and the communities in which they live Link: https://lnkd.in/g9FKr4dg Contributors to this post include: Jordana Choucair, Senior Vice President of Communications, Third Horizon Strategies Meghan Philipp, Executive Director, HC3 Chasity Wells-Armstrong, Strategic Consultant to HC3
