In support of the mission and operations of our tenants as they continue to grow and expand their practices, Anchor Health Properties recently worked alongside Brain and Spine Center of South Florida to successfully deliver a 1,089 square foot suite build out at The Outpatient Center Of Delray, in Delray Beach, Florida. With an increasing demand for advanced pain management and neurosurgical treatment driven by a growing patient base, the Brain & Spine Center’s new space offers tailored physical therapy areas enhancing accessibility to comprehensive in-house neurosurgical care. With a patient-centric approach, the practice’s board-certified neurosurgeons and fellowship-trained neurosurgical specialists treat a spectrum of neurological conditions, including brain tumors, back and neck pain, degenerated disc disease, and herniated discs, and provide high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatments for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors. #healthcarerealestate #assetmanagement #propertymanagement #neurosurgicalcare #physicaltherapy #buildout #tenantrelations #DelrayBeach #Florida

With 50% of cavernoma patients having epilepsy, we’re pleased to announce a new treatment called Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT). 🙌👏 LITT is available at King’s College Hospital and The Walton Centre for patients with Cavernoma Related Epilepsy (CRE) that is resistant to medication. LITT works by inserting a fiber optic laser into the skull to heat and coagulate the epilepsy-causing brain tissue at 50–90°C (122-194°F). Clinicians navigate through the brain using an MRI scanner to avoid nearby structures that need to be protected. If you have intractable CRE and would like to be considered for this treatment, speak to your neurologist or neurosurgeon. If they think you might be eligible and after discussing the risks you feel comfortable to proceed, then your clinician can refer you. Self-referral is not possible. For more information about LITT use the following link: 👇 https://lnkd.in/eKmp9F93 #litt #laserinterstitialthermaltherapy #cavernomarelatedepilepsy #intractableepilepsy

👏 "Systems who want to pull the human race forward do the right thing. If they come together, they can do the right thing which is evidence-based medicine, drive value to the member, and then also have a positive margin and move away from just being profit-driven." - Ryan A. Grant, MD, MS, MBA, FAANS, 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 Vori Health (𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸) 👆 One of our favorite quotes from episode #12. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 1️⃣ Passion for Medicine: Dr. Grant's lifelong fascination with the human body led him to a career in neurosurgery. His love for tangible results drew him to surgery over long-term patient relationships. 2️⃣ Redefining Care: Vori Health aims to address the broken musculoskeletal orthopedic care model. With a significant number of spine surgeries deemed inappropriate, there's a pressing need for change. 3️⃣ Patient-Centric Approach: The future of healthcare lies in a holistic, patient-centric approach. Dr. Grant emphasizes moving away from a physician-centric model to truly cater to patient needs. 4️⃣ Telehealth's Potential: Virtual care isn't just a substitute; it can sometimes offer better results than in-person visits. It's interactive, engaging, and is reshaping the future of patient care. This episode left us optimistic about the future of healthcare, especially with leaders like Dr. Grant championing value-based care and innovative care models. World Continence Week 2024 brings a vital opportunity to raise awareness about bladder and bowel issues, chronic pelvic pain, and other debilitating conditions. These challenges significantly impact the lives of patients, their families and carers, including those dealing with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson's, dementia, stroke, and brain or spinal cord injuries. As part of our commitment to improving continence care, we are thrilled to invite healthcare professionals to our upcoming webinar, 'Intermittent catheterisation in neurological patients: When do we start this conversation and how best to manage this pathway from suggestion to treatment?' Scheduled for Thursday, 11th July at 12:00, this webinar will address the challenges in identifying early, providing timely educating and initiating intermittent self-catheterisation for neurological patients. There will be valuable insights and management ‘tips and tricks’ and the opportunity to participate in an interactive question and answer session. Board-Certified Vascular Neurosurgeon | Strategic Healthcare Leader and Innovator | Health Care Delivery and Access | Duke MBA
As we move through the last two weeks of Stroke Awareness Month, I am amazed when reflecting on the many developments that have occurred in basic science, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, and healthcare delivery over the last 15 years in the neurovascular health care space. However, despite numerous transformational advancements there are still significant variations in stroke care that lead to disparities in outcomes. Addressing disparities in stroke care is about more than merely discussing race, ethnicity, and other social determinants of care. On a larger scale it is an exercise in attempting to understand why many examples of variations in healthcare occur. This refection leaves two strategic questions to ponder: 1) How can health care systems utilize strategy and leverage data to solve complex medical problems in a way that adds value to both the patients and the healthcare ecosystem as a whole? 2) How can health care systems, corporations, academic institutions, and financial institutions collaborate to identify effective and fiscally sustainable solutions to solve healthcare's biggest problems? Complex issues in healthcare will continue to require strategic collaboration, data-driven solutions, and engagement at multiple nodes along the continuum of care and this is particularly true for stroke care. I had the opportunity to collaborate with Shelly Ikeme, her team of physician colleagues, and the CERENOVUS division at Johnson & Johnson MedTech on work that attempts to unpack some of these ideas. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this dialogue ! #stroke #strokecare #strokeawareness #neurocare #neurosurgery #MedTech #Healthcare #Fuqua

Endothelial cell (EC) health is negatively impacted by provoked anger through the impairment of endothelium-dependent vasodilation (EDV), a new study shows. However, other core negative emotions, such as anxiety or sadness, do not have this impact on ECs. The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) recently released a new clinical guideline for managing individuals diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Fellow CCF collaborators, Drs. Carolyn Ho, Seema Mital , Sharlene Day and Jeffrey Kim are among the authors. The updated recommendations for adult and pediatric patients are based on recent evidence about HCM treatment, including new pharmacologic management, recreational and competitive sports participation, and sudden cardiac death risk stratification, especially in pediatric patients.
