The problem of teacher retention is a slowly-creeping crisis in public education hiding in plain sight. Simply put, teachers are leaving the profession faster than they can be replaced, which puts added pressure on those who remain, oftentimes wearing them down well before their time, so school districts are struggling like never before to recruit and retain their teachers.
