🌟 Excited to share some key insights for young professionals navigating the job market! 🚀 Here's my brief take on how one can stand-out and excel in their career journey: isnt it easier to preach than doing it?! NTL, 1. **Business Development Mastery:** Showcase your ability to not just understand but mastering the business domain. Highlight specific instances where you've contributed to acquiring new business, proving your strategic thinking and market acumen and how you sold this idea to your management / owners of business. 2. **Talent Acquisition Expertise:** Building a stellar team is crucial as almost all the development and production is a team effort, albeit with visionary leadership. Illustrate your knack for bringing on board experienced and trustworthy technical staff. Share success stories of team members you've recruited and nurtured. It’s more effective if you can demonstrate how your team down the levels achieved success than your independent contribution. 3. **Team Motivation and Development:** Great leaders inspire! Outline how you plan to motivate and develop your team. Emphasize your commitment to fostering a positive, growth-oriented work environment. 4. **Setting Yourself Apart:** There’s nothing wrong to be average; but businesses respect exceptional talent! Detail how you stand out from the crowd. Whether it's innovative problem-solving or a unique approach to challenges, let your individuality shine through. 5. **Market Savvy:** Companies thrive on staying ahead. Demonstrate your knowledge about the market and how it can be leveraged to keep the company ahead of competitors. Share insights into trends, emerging technologies, and industry shifts. 6. **Career Aspirations:** Have a roadmap for your future! Clearly outline your aspirations for the next 3, 5, and 10 years. Also, mention what you're willing to sacrifice to achieve those goals. This shows dedication and a forward-thinking mindset. Remember, your LinkedIn profile is your professional story—make it compelling and unique! I will appreciate if you would take time to look at my profile and suggest me how to improve mine. 💼✨ #CareerTips #JobApplication #ProfessionalDevelopment #LinkedInInsights Don’t be shy to comment on the posts you read… unless you want to punish anyone by ignoring them, spending few moments or at least a like or emoji will beget you when you wanted someone to reflect on you and your work. After a year of collaborating with impact start-ups on career development, I've just wrapped up my 4th career progression matrix. I’m ready to share what I've learned with my network in case it’s on your talent strategy for 2024. 🧐 What's a Career Progression Matrix and Why Do You Need One? Simply put, it's a tool that clarifies career growth by outlining the skills and competencies required for each level in a job. How do leaders find new hires that can hit the ground running? Four years ago, business legend Seth Godin pointed out that skill is not the same as talent. “Talent is something we’re born with. It’s hardwired into us,” he said. “Skill, on the other hand, can be learned. And learning requires time and effort, both of which are available to each of us.” I agree. Talent can provide a head start, but skills enable individuals to harness and express their gifts effectively. When companies look for a blend of talent AND acquired skills among teams, the result is exceptional proficiency and growth. How are you balancing both talent and skill at your company? Let me know in the comments below. #GrowthDiagnostic #GrowthUpside #TheSCurve #SmartGrowth #DisruptYourself #DisruptYourselfPodcast #BuildAnATeam #DareDreamDo #Forbes #LinkedIn

Is Your Leadership Style Driving Your Employees Away? Here's How to Find Out. Now, let's be real about it: → It might be uncomfortable for some. → It might even seem like an ego check for others. And you know what? That's perfectly fine. Embrace whatever feelings come your way. Because here's the truth: The success of my team is THE single most important thing to me. → It's not about being the boss with the most authority. → It's not about dictating every move. Money? Yeah, it's crucial. → It keeps the lights on. → It puts food on the table. But here's the kicker: Beyond survival and basics, money is a game-changer. So, why not use it to magnify what truly matters? → I'm not fixated on flashy perks or grand office spaces. → I'm fixated on creating an environment where innovation thrives. Sure, no one's telling you how to lead. It's your ship to steer. But if success is your north star, and you've got the means, why not invest in what can elevate your team? → A game-changing initiative is a prime example. → I could tighten the budget on professional development. But when you have the means, why not empower your team to reach new heights? - If top-notch talent can steer us toward success? - I'm going to invest in it. - If a workspace that fuels creativity and productivity is within reach? - I'm going to invest in it. Let's be clear: → I watch our resources like a hawk. → Financial stability is always on my radar. → Funds are allocated with strategic precision. But when there's more to go around? I'm putting it into the future of a team I wholeheartedly believe in. That's the game plan. PS: DM me "Transform" and let's discuss how I can help you achieve your training goals and advance your career. #linkedinforcreators #corportetrainer #jobs #hiring #india #resumeexpert #interviewcoach #softskillscoach

Destigmatizing #onecompanycareer 👻 Let me guess… you are so good in what you do that you simply had no time to plan your career. The progression has happened naturally. Till a certain point (VP? SVP?) You always suspected and now you see it clearly, the corporate reality has a shape of a pyramid 🪜 The higher you get, the less options there are. But you haven’t spoken to the external world about jobs. You even declined those recruiters‘ messages because you were too busy and loyal and content. Now you start some conversations with an outside market, and it feels awkward. Internally you are a rock star, everybody knows you. Externally all they might think is “Oh well, one company career executive”… And you don’t even know how to start your story, there is so much to tell! Let’s get to the core of the issue 👩🏼💻 Your company is huge, not homogeneous. It is not simply one company! Every business unit, every geography can have their micro culture. Wait, it was not even one and the same company through years. The number of acquisitions, changes, reorganizations, transformation you’ve faced is enormous. You‘ve changed locations, brands and even functions. But you‘ve stayed. You‘ve adapted and grown WITH your company. What can you present to the outside market? Grit, resilience, loyalty, adaptability, growth mindset, perfect navigation skills… How to demonstrate them? How to wrap all this in the best way? 🎁 The time to strategize is NOW. This is an amazing task with so much potential 💫 I have credentials of helping talent like you craft impactful stories 🧚♀️ Create your new path! #careercoaching #leadershipcoaching #strengths

Hiring the candidate with a shiny CV and a high IQ might often feel like the way to go. But I’ve learned the hard way that a person’s character and qualities - that certain traits - are much better predictors of culture add… and therefore success. Plus, scale up life in business is never static. So you need individuals who can do more than they are hired for. You need people that can help you face challenges head-on. People that love trying new and unfamiliar things. Autonomous people who think for themselves and don’t always need to be told what to do. People who thrive in adversity, because scale up life rarely goes to plan. Proactive and resourceful thinkers - these people are the people that consistently deliver. People that positively energize those around them. And a culture where mistakes aren’t punished, but also one where those who make them don’t deny responsibility. All of this = 🚀 #startuplife #brilliantteam #leadership101

Helping leaders build successful businesses and high performing teams | Executive leadership coach | Business mentor | Consultant | Speaker | Bloom mentor | Dog lover
I recently had a chat with a friend who runs a creative agency. They're going through a bit of a tough time after two key team members left. The impact of their departure is still being felt and finding suitable replacements has turned out to be more of a challenge than anticipated. It got me thinking about how crucial top talent is for a business and why you really don’t want to lose them. Their absence isn't just a day-to-day issue; it ripples through missed opportunities and strained workflows. Losing key people is a possibility for any business, making it crucial to have solid retention strategies in place. Have you thought about how you’d replace your key people if they left suddenly? Here are my top 5 tips for holding on to your talent: 1️⃣ Invest in growth opportunities and lay out clear career paths for development. 2️⃣ Create a culture that employees want to be part of and hire people based on the right fit. 3️⃣ Develop strong leadership and management through expert support and training which will have positive ripple effects. 4️⃣ Provide meaningful recognition and rewards regularly and actively ask what your people need. 5️⃣ Do exit interviews to understand why people leave and talk to your current talent to understand why they want to stay. What else would you add to the mix? #FindingTalent #KeepingTheBest #RetentionPlans #TheEtultraMindset --> I am Jules, I run Etultra, a coaching business that helps business and agency leaders build high-performing teams that clients love and where top talent thrives and wants to stay. Can we have a "quick chat"? Sometimes people approach me for a "quick chat". It never happens to be one. Why? In our corporate lives, we face many scenarios regularly: 1] Taking decisions on career moves 2] Handling office politics 3] Managing the boss's expectations 4] Transitioning into a new role 5] Considering resignation vs. a new job and many more. These are difficult problem statements. When decisions are hasty or not thought through, one will land in a difficult situation. In the process, they will under-optimize their achievements, waste time and go through an emotional rollercoaster. Be ready to invest time and energy if you really wish to reach your full potential. All your moves have to be deliberate. A rewarding career is never an outcome of a "quick chat" :) #transformahead #leadership #management #career ___ I'm the Founder of Transform Ahead®️, specializing in coaching for career clarity, leadership development, transitions, organizational skills, job search, interviews, and more.
