"If you're frenzied, it's you. It's not the job. It's not the school"
Jamie Dimon dropping some thoughts on personal responsibility here

Jamie Dimon makes a good general point here about personal responsibility, but his example about sacrificing golf and bloody Mary's is unusually tone deaf. Golf is among the easiest conceivable sacrifices. I have met hundreds of Goldman Sachs vice presidents. I know only a handful who golf at all, even before kids.
Fundamentally, a lot of stars need to align in order to not be frenzied at Stanford GSB, JPM, GS, etc: you need a relatively high intelligence, dedication, and reliable childcare.
100%!
I see so many people who show up to "work" and make it all about them, what the company can give to them.
What about showing up on-time? What about being prepared? What about required HR activities and required corporate training? Do you do it when asked, or do you wait until your manager contacts you 3x?
If you want to make God laugh, tell him (or her) your plans. This guy is trying to make a good point, but he seems a bit out of touch to me. His biggest stressor is email, kids and not watching football. Wow. When I did ER triage and had to work every other weekend for 15 years, I never watched a game. And another question...If you are triaging a chest pain, stroke and a respiratory distress patient, who is very fast and who is slow?
This rings true in so many ways. If you don’t want to be frenzied at work (or in general) you better figure out how to work smarter and manage your time better. In sales we’ve all seen that you better manage your time and business or it will definitely manage you.

FRANKLY, TO BE HONEST...FOR MYSELF TOO...
I DO CURRENTLY FACING A LOTS AND STRONG DESIRE OF COMPETITION OF HAVING DO COMPETE WITH MYSELF LIKEWISE AT THE SAME TIME , I NEED TO COMPETE MYSELF WITH MAJORITY OF THE YOUTH GENERATION IN ATTEMPT OF ACQUIRED MY DREAM JOBS ON LINKEDIN....
SADLY FOR MYSELF AND THIS AN ACTUAL FACTS OF FINDING A SECURE JOBS THROUGH LINKEDIN...
YOU HAVE NO CHOICE OF MAKING A DISCLOSURE ABOUT YOUR OWN SELF AND NURTURING YOUR OWN TALENT ....IT'S NOT ABOUT JUST MAKING SOME MODIFICATION ON YOUR OWN RESUME BUT ....
MAKING YOURSELF BE MORE OUTSTANDING WITH A FLYING COLOURS IN FRONT OF THE RECRUITERS, THE HIRING MANAGERS AND YOUR EMPLOYEE-TO-BE IN ORDER FOR THEM FOR TAKING YOU AS ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEE-TO-BE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COMPANY.......

Your high school friends might know you as the quiet person who takes exams too seriously.
Your parents might see you as the rebellious child who makes mistakes and they need to control and protect.
Your best friend might see you as a kind person who is always there for them.
A colleague might see you as a bad person because you beat them to a promotion.
You are all those people, and more. And you exist differently in everyone’s minds.
How they see you is usually a reflection of themselves, at which stage of your life they met you; and what they want from you etc.
Of course, no one can completely ignore what other people think about them. But they are all going to see you differently anyway, depending on how they want to see you.
As long as your internal compass is clear, as long as you know your values and who you are… focus more on being the best version of you, and not what other people want you to be for them.
The Tale of a Tricky Test: A Lesson in Responsibility

Wisdom from a Chevy Dealer:
1. Change your opinions, keep to your principles. Change your leaves, keep to your roots.
2. Train yourself to prefer the sharpest criticism from a single intelligent person to the thoughtless approval of the group.
3. The best teachers are really just adult students in their own classrooms.
4. Laziness is the bad habit of resting before you are tired.
5. There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what is not true. The other is to refuse to believe what is true.

SUNDAY REFLECTIONS:
I’ve always found Sunday’s to be an excellent day for personal reflection. The accompanying video merits some thought and consideration.
1. Try to notice the good in others.
2. When you’re criticized, especially when you’re criticized unfairly, remember the good in you. The world needs more achievers, more risk takers…not more shallow critics.
3. The foolproof formula to avoid criticism is to: (a) do nothing, (b) say nothing, (c) be nothing. …but then really, what’s the point???
Strive for greatness. Encourage greatness in others. A safe community is a connected community and we connect well when we are intentional about giving one another love and grace…and helping one another strive to be our best selves. Stay safe Chesterfield County!

This fantastic lesson/activity for secondary students targets many skill areas: comparing/contrasting the lives of students in the city vs suburbs, inferencing, critical thinking, and perspective-taking (to name a few!). I have been doing this with my middle and high-schoolers this week and it has sparked great discussions!
We also discussed these questions:
• How do you find commonality with others?
• How would you make a friend who grew up in a different environment?
It’s no secret that I love to read. People ask me for book recommendations all the time. I hesitate to give recommendations because I believe a “good read” is unique to each individual and dependent on where a person is in life. So, I won’t tell you what books you should read. However, I will share a list of books I would give an 18-year-old Aaron Stubbs, who was headed to Washington & Jefferson College to study Political Science and play football with the goal of attending Law school.
Perhaps you or someone in your life could benefit from some of the books below.
1. Mastery by Robert Greene
2. The Mountain is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage into Self-Mastery by Brianna West
3. Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday
4. Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race by Beverly Daniel Tatum
5. Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing the Odds by Rich Paul
6. Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging by Sebastian Junger
7. Letters to a Young Athlete by Chris Bosh
8. You Owe You by Dr. Eric Thomas
BLACK MAGIC & CURSES ARE BS!
I have great sympathy for educated blokes who believe in Black Magic & Curses. Why? Reason is very simple : let's say you hate a Politician or your crooked Boss or your back stabbing comrade and you curse them to death or say you hire a Witchcraft Expert to destroy such folks then do you think they will die or get destroyed ? No way!
If Black Magic & Curses were to really work, then all newspapers will be crammed with Obitury of Politicians, Key Corporate Bosses etc everyday! The headlines will then not be about wars, inflation, crimes and scams but will be overflowing with news about death of Politicians, corporate Bosses and their Lieutenants! QED!
