Earlier this month I had a chat with Georgina Njogu of Citizen Digital. The idea behind the interview was to discuss personal life & career.We touched on many topics including but not limited to the motivation,the set backs,the comebacks and the drive. 1.My biggest support base is my family.My brothers made sure from a young age that I never had a victim mentality,they taught me by looking at their values,how they tackle challenges that you can't be a victim.They despite all odds were the best mirror I could have,being strict with me and making sure I became a younger version of them. 2.Social capital- I have been a beneficiary of social capital people who can and have mentioned my name in places I didn't even immagine exists,to people who have stretched hands to pull me back when I am out ,people who receive my calls when I am out and bring back the belief people like Lillian Ngala ,Azmina Mulji Leadership Empowerment Coach and HR Consultant and many othersif I was to do this list we would be 89 pages. 3.Taking Calculated risk,I have always believed that you either take the risk or loose the chance. 4.At the apex of it there are well planned ,well calculated goals,what and where I wanted to be . 5.I am a victim of my own ambitions andost of the time the very ambitious thoughts have led me a stray,Sometimes it has consumed the very drive I had . 6. Be Cognizant of the fact that nobody owes you anything not even your mentors, appreciate the people who take their time to guide and listen to you.They don't need to do it but when they do neveret them down. 7.Character is the S to the word success .Have integrity,be consistent, respect authority and love what you do when you still doing it.

Finish Strong Friday and Take in the 40,000 foot view of Your Successes! I love all things aviation and have already showcased numerous pilots and astronauts, but Charles Lindbergh has such an amazing story, and he has a great quote, "Life is like a landscape. You live in the midst of it, but can describe it only from the vantage point of distance." As a pilot, it's always easy to look down and get the big picture, but it's not always easy to do, when you're always in the business mix. So often we are always in the minutiae, that we might be missing opportunities on a larger scale. Every once in a while you should step back, take that 40,000 foot look down and examine your business / job / sales, and see if you can gain a new insight from that different perspective! You never know what kind of opportunities that will present themselves or have always been there, just not visible, that close. Charles Augustus Lindbergh (February 4, 1902 – August 26, 1974) was an American aviator and military officer. On May 20–21, 1927, he made the first nonstop flight from New York City to Paris, a distance of 3,600 miles, flying alone for 33.5 hours. His aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis, was designed and built to compete for the $25,000 Orteig Prize for the first flight between the two cities. Although not the first transatlantic flight, it was the longest at the time by nearly 2,000 miles and the first solo transatlantic flight. It became known as one of the most consequential flights in history and ushered in a new era of air transportation between parts of the globe. Wonderful initiative by Northrop Grumman 👏🏽 Motherhood is an advanced degree in life. Mothers are pillars of strenght no matter how hard things get. When faced with blockers, we figure it out, we fix the problem. We thrive to do more, to do better and learn to organise ourselves and manage our time in the most effective way. As mothers we have to expand, grow and become more. We develop resilience, courage, empathy and patience, all cornestones of leadership. Companies should amend their policies and practices to support an effective return to work, and foster a culture that values and helps moms continue with their career progress. As moms we become less available, but much more capable.

ON ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR AND HIS FAILING CAMPAIGN: Although I've occasionally written favorably about RFK Jr., the possibility wasn't high that I'd actually vote for him for President ... but I have a) been intrigued by his Presidential run), b) agreed with him on some things (not all), and c) liked his apparent willingness to shakeup and improve what looks to me to be a great system (the American system of governance) which, tragically though, is corrupted imo by highly compromised, amoral (in some cases, immoral), inept and unpatriotic leadership ...... and so, unlike with Pres. Biden, there was SOME small chance that I'd vote for him for President ..... until yesterday. Yesterday he picked his VP candidate (N. Shanahan) who is 1) an under 40 y/o individual with literally no resume in business or politics of any substance in the Presidential context, 2) a left-wing cause supporter (I know, that's a plus for some of you), 3) likely a billionaire (thus able to fund their campaign, probably the reason they were selected), but who 4) instead of earning the money they have by conceiving, organizing and creating something of value -- received it (or, at least, the vast majority of it) in a settlement from someone else who did. There is literally no reason to believe that IF (God-forbid) RFK Jr died while occupying the White House, this person (N. Shanahan, his VP pick) would make even a competent President (let alone a very good or great one) .... which is -- or at least should be -- the first and most important criteria for VP candidate (ie. running mate) selection. Sure, a campaign will follow from now till November (especially in swing states, so I'll likely miss most of it) ... and campaigns can sometimes make a difference .... but I can definitely say that if the election were held today, my chance of voting for Robert F Kennedy Jr or the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket went, yesterday, from SLIM to NONE. God Bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

As a proponent for the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of the vice-presidential pick. Shanahan's age should not be a disqualifying factor. Youthful energy and innovative thinking can be assets in addressing the complex challenges facing our nation. Secondly, Shanahan's support for left-wing causes should be seen as a positive trait, indicating a commitment to progressive values and social justice. Thirdly, the fact that Shanahan received a settlement should not overshadow their potential to contribute meaningfully to governance. Many successful leaders have come from diverse backgrounds, and Shanahan's experiences may offer a unique perspective on economic and social issues. Lastly, the primary criteria for a vice-presidential candidate should not solely be their ability to step into the presidency if needed. While that is an important consideration, a vice president also plays a crucial role in supporting the president's agenda. In conclusion, I believe that Shanahan's selection as vice-presidential candidate adds a valuable dimension to the Kennedy campaign, and I remain optimistic about their potential to lead alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr
