Each year, we celebrate a host of holidays that commemorate, recognize, and honor the members of this Country who have sacrificed to make our nation great. The Fourth of July precedes many of these holidays, marking the anniversary of America’s independence. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was formally adopted, officially breaking free from British rule and establishing the birth of the United States as a sovereign nation.
This holiday often takes the form of barbecues with family and friends, outdoor activities enjoyed in the summer sunshine, and lots of good food and memories created with the people we love. Make sure to check out your local museums and community centers for educational opportunities as well as parades, sporting events, historical reenactments, television specials, concerts, and fireworks displays in your area. As always, please remember to make safety a priority.
At Amyx, we always encourage taking a moment to recognize the historical significance of the days we commemorate and to remember its importance during contemporary times. This year, we additionally ask that you relax and enjoy your day off in honor of the Independence of our country’s freedom, a nation created by the resilience and determination of the people who make us the Nation we are today.
Enjoy the day off tomorrow and we wish all of you a very Happy 4th of July!
