I read it on Kindle a while back - highly recommended as the next step in Psychological Safety. The focus on improvement and growth (and the conditions required for those) was really helpful.

It is a very inspriring book Amy! Thank you for sharing great content inside that brings AHA moments🙏🏻 I read it through the perspective of a facilitator who guides teams through playful methods to build valuable products together and one of the AHAs I had was related to the Design Sorints and why are they "the right kind of wrong": https://teamflow.substack.com/p/why-design-sprints-are-the-right Thank you for the fascinating inspiration!

I listened to it on Audible and loved it so much that I bought the hardcover. It directly applies to safety.

Any optimisation algorithm (an analogy for trying to create an optimum service or product) will take steps which result in worse solutions = failure. The clever ones backtrack quickly to try to find better ones in the search space. The whole thing would not work if it cannot generate worse solutions! The bad solutions actually contain *information* about the error topography and where better to go. "You learn from mistakes"...

Failing is part of every learning process and should be taught in schools so the kids would grow up accepting and embracing failure since early age

Such a great book! Enjoyed it so much that we incorporated the concept of intelligent failure into our leadership lessons for disability ERG/Network leaders. We shared one of your short films with attendees at our roundtables and led a discussion about how failure is your friend. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/purplespace_leaders-activity-7206641413810237441-i5a2?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
