Embrace tattoos in the corporate world! First and foremost, I want to give a shoutout to my talented friend and colleague Seth Duimstra for taking incredible headshots for my entire department. I must say, working at Commonwealth Associates, Inc. has been a game-changer for me. This is the first place of employment where my tattoos have never been an issue during my performance reviews. Yes, tattoos are a personal choice, but they are also a way for me to share my story and express myself. They go beyond mere aesthetics - they provide a glimpse into who I am as a person. The concept of "business attire" needs to evolve to embrace a more diverse range of appearances, traditions, expressions, and experiences. While progress is being made, there is still work to be done in promoting acceptance on a broader scale. Until then, individuals like me and my coworker Seth will proudly display our tattoos alongside our professional attire, proving that those with tattoos and piercings are more than meets the judgmental eye. #onecommonwealth

Can I confess something? I'm good at content. I love editing videos and have no problem talking to my phone. I know the key to go viral (and learned the consequences of it). But let's get real, content isn't the same as selling. What's hard for me.. is sales. Asking the right questions, qualifying the lead, making the ask...being in front of REAL people. I have so much to learn, so much flopping ahead of me 🙈 I'm fairly certain hiding behind my keyboard won't help us make the right connections in the community.
