All MEWPs rely on the condition of the ground on which they stand for their stability. Assessment of ground condition is equally important for self propelled MEWPs, such as booms and scissor lifts, which may be driven along the ground with the platform raised. The assessment of ground strength can vary from a visual inspection of the ground surface to a full geotechnical survey. In the case of MEWPs a visual inspection is often adequate, as outrigger loads are relatively low compared with machines such as mobile cranes. However, it is essential that the assessment is made by persons with adequate knowledge and experience to know when further expert advice and assessment is required. I often cite these stats about the number of thoughts we have each day, and how most are negative and repetitive. #Meditation, #mindfulness practices, #gratitude, affirmations, and #breathwork are all helpful practices. Being intentional first thing in the morning is also helpful in setting yourself up for success.
Master that first and that last thought of your day, and see the difference it makes ❤️ Clipped from my talk with Mav Carter.

Reflecting on the first and last thoughts of our day indeed holds profound significance in shaping our mindset and influencing the course of our actions. It is during these moments of transition between wakefulness and slumber that our subconscious mind is particularly receptive to impressions. Starting the day with positive and purposeful thoughts sets the tone for the hours ahead, infusing our actions with motivation and determination. Whether it's expressing gratitude for the blessings in our lives or setting intentions for growth and productivity, cultivating a mindset of optimism and gratitude at the dawn of each day can have a transformative effect on our overall well-being. Similarly, ending the day on a reflective and tranquil note allows us to unwind from the day's hustle and bustle, fostering a sense of inner peace and contentment. By taking a moment to review our experiences, acknowledge our achievements, and contemplate areas for improvement, we pave the way for personal growth and self-awareness. Indeed, the difference between the first and last thoughts of our day can be profound. By consciously channeling our thoughts towards positivity, gratitude, and mindfulness, we empower ourselves to navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace. As we embrace this practice, may we discover the boundless potential that lies within the power of our thoughts to shape our reality.
