I'm sorry, but I don't see that as innovation. I see it as the exact opposite. The real innovation behind this would be as follows: Simply omit the milk product. Benefits animal welfare, (health) and the environment. Think about it. ✌🏼

Why revolutionary, Amine BOUDER? Robotic milking technology was developed in Europe in 1992 and introduced to the U.S. in 2000. When I visited Switzerland in 2018, this was already a norm for local farmers.

It amazes me to read comments where it is shown that some do not understand anything about how the subject works. The cow needs to be milked at least twice a day, no one is doing her any harm. It is a relief for the cow, since she feels better after releasing the milk. If it goes for a long time without being milked, it can cause bruising, udder injuries, illness or even death. Complete milking can take between 5 and 10 minutes per cow. Any robotic method is more hygienic and less aggressive for the animal. Precisely by doing this the health of the animal is preserved. This nonsense of saying that animals are exploited has already reached totally outrageous levels.

This is not a new Technology; it has been using for years now. One of the most famous brands is Lily, a Dutch company. Like humans, there are some mischievous animals (about 2%) has to be directed to the machine for milking. So, some form of human intervention is required. The machine is capable of sending alerts for unmilked cows. The whole process is an incentive-based procedure. Cows will be given a tasty meal in exchange of milk.

This is not just rhe future of milking, it's the history of milking, as well. I first read about a system like this some 20+ years ago. It's called a "voluntary milking system" because the cow chooses when she wants to be milked, and typically ends up visiting more often than when they go on human schedules. Better for the cow, better for the farmer, better for the consumer. Everybody wins! Gotta love robots 😀
