Drastic Pet Airfare Hikes Force Families To Make Tough Decisions! According to a February 20, 2024, BBC News article, families are reeling from shock and dismay as the cost of transporting pets abroad undergoes a staggering rate hike. IAG Cargo, handling transfers for major airlines (British Airways, Iberia & Aer Lingus), is raising prices on select routes starting March 1st. Military families facing moves back to the US from the UK, saw prices skyrocket from $1,444.00 to $6,464.00 for their beloved companions. The sudden increase has left families scrambling for alternatives, with some fearing bills as high as $20,000. These unprecedented hikes, up to 400% in some cases, leave families, particularly military personnel, in turmoil. The implications are dire, potentially forcing heart-wrenching decisions to leave cherished pets behind. It's time for reconsideration and support for military families facing these unanticipated financial burdens. #PetTransport #MilitaryFamilies #IAGCargoHike #petlovers #petindustry #pets #pet #relocate #relocationexperts #relocationservices #petcare #petsafety

Head of Aircraft Leasing, ACMI and Operations at Air Partner | Chairman of The Air Charter Association
Today, we the Air Charter Association urged all involved in chartering aircraft to raise awareness of the illegal charter activity that still blights our industry. It is hard to believe that 5 years after the tragic loss of the footballer Emiliano Sala in an illegally chartered aircraft, which crashed into the English Channel, this activity still persists across the industry. The Association is still regularly made aware of illegal activity taking place within the air charter industry, via the link on our website, where we encourage members and non-members to alert us to any suspected illegal charters taking place or believe to have taken place. https://lnkd.in/eqjFe-5a It remains our focus to continually follow up with all the relevant authorities on any suspected illegal activity we are alerted to and provide as much assistance to the authorities to be able to trace the individuals behind these flights and take some action. We will continue to raise awareness and more importantly push all the relevant authorities to increase their enforcement of this activity so that more culprits are stopped and stronger penalties enforced. Until this activity is policed effectively illegal charters will continue to take place but the more we can raise awareness and work with those that can police it, we can dramatically reduce it and someday eradicate it for good. Thank you to all of those that got behind our campaign today, the industry is stronger together. #theaircharterassociation #theaca #aviation #privatejet #aircraft

Should #sanctions be imposed for abandoning planes in this condition? IS IT YES OR NO? Because of the mess and nasty mindset of the inhabitants or airline corporations, several aircraft owners dislike handing their aircraft out on a dry lease. It is exceedingly expensive to restore an airplane to its former glory if proper care is not taken, and this reduces the aircraft's value in the long run. Some passengers are filthy in nature, and I apologize for saying so, but what happens on a comercial flight or charter flight is incredible. Because of conditions like this, certain aircraft owners have always declined Charter offers from a specific group of people! Do you agree that those commercial passengers should be penalized as well? These photos were taken on a recent Air Algérie journey from #Montreal to #Algiers. Everyone in the plane had no turbulence, which is a common occurrence on several airlines. Do you agree that any passenger flying on a commercial airline who messes up his or her seat to this extent should be fined? Do you also agreed that any airline staff that is so dirty and wastes so much time because the plane remains on the tarmac longer than usual should be fined? Because of this condition, it is costly for some commercial airlines and charter firms to maintain their aircraft, and the charter hour or commercial rate continues to climb in order to meet the cleaning and maintenance expenditures. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please leave a comment so that we may all learn from one another. #AirAlgérie #adedaascharter #crew #pilots #passenger #faa #iata #icao #airport #aviation #aircraft #airplane #charter #commercialairline

The “spin” begins… The Air Canada mainline pilots recently switched from the somewhat malleable ACPA, to the juggernaut ALPA Canada, for representation. They are currently negotiating a new contract, after a 10 year, oppressive one. One of the first things they did was publish a contract comparison with their peers in the US. It showed the shocking disparity of wages and working conditions (WAWCON). Sometimes less than 50% of compensation, compared with pilots in the US. This will probably result in a pilot strike at Air Canada. Would the Liberal govt side with “big industry” and legislate the pilots back to work, as the Conservatives did in 2012? The “regional” pilots are also represented by ALPA. Jazz, the regional carrier for Air Canada, is controlled (not owned) by Air Canada. This contract with the mainline pilots has enormous implications throughout Canadian aviation, as the vast majority of airline pilots are represented by ALPA. “Pattern bargaining?” Grab the popcorn and fasten your seatbelts, folks. Canadian travellers are in for some severe turbulence in 2024…
