Great analysis Jesse Ehrenfeld MD MPH. I’d say AI development efforts must involve nurses and physicians from the onset. Before you can deliver care, you need to coordinate it. And nurses are a key part of the team coordinating and delivering care, working closely with physicians. In the last decade, EHR added burden because it was done to clinicians. To succeed, AI must avoid repeating that mistake.
