What a shame Amex doesn’t look after it’s own retirees in the same caring and compassionate way. For 10 years Amex has refused to give any increases of any kind to their pensioners of their pre 1997 discretionary Pension scheme , this affects some 3000+ Uk pensioners who have given long service and put the company where it is today. Many Amex pensioners are in need of adult care and financial support in their twilight years but are constantly ignored by Amex as they only appear want to help their current employees and give no recognition or empathy for those who came before and who have contributed to their pension scheme. Without the cost of living increases over the last 10 years many are in financial difficulties to the point of having to crowd fund to raise money to buy essential items like electric wheelchairs to improve there mobility and day to day lives. So Amex you should be looking after all your families not just the ones currently employed but also those who put you where you are today . Stop penalising the UK pensioners and give us the pension rises we deserve!
