https://lnkd.in/dpv23VxU In today’s growing demand for EV’s, applications for Aluminum are increasing because Aluminum, being a good conductor, is also lightweight making it a preferable choice in batteries and also battery boxes. It gives rise in demand to Aluminium welding applications. However, welding Aluminium has its own set of challenges like hot cracking, porosity, etc. But, using advanced methods these problems can be mitigated. Watch Mr. Michael Nagel, our esteemed speaker from Scansonic, Germany, as he shares developments in advanced methods for tactile welding, remote welding, Fast component welding and also, the new SCeye process monitoring system developed by Scansonic MI GmbH which enables manufacturers to have more control over the manufacturing process, and reduce errors, thus increasing productivity.

World Metrology Day is celebrated annually on May 20th to commemorate the signing of the Metre Convention on May 20, 1875. This convention established a worldwide framework for collaboration in the science of measurement and in the development of the International System of Units (SI). The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of metrology, the science of measurement, in various aspects of our daily lives, including trade, industry, and health. Each year, World Metrology Day has a specific theme to highlight different areas where metrology plays a critical role. The event is organized by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), which work together to promote global metrological standards. Metrology is crucial for ensuring accuracy and consistency in measurements, which supports scientific research, industrial innovation, and the functioning of economies.
