One of the most common questions I get asked is how I manage and train the new generation of employees. While some people may say that this generation is unwilling to work, the truth is that they are unwilling to work for toxic leaders and micromanagers. The biggest challenge I faced was dealing with individuals who have an "old school mentality" and require work beyond their job description without any explanation and expect you to lead that way. Nobody wants to work for a dictator, and no amount of money can keep someone in such a toxic work environment. That is why I prioritize creating a positive work culture to retain good employees, even though it can be difficult to find them.
