Some posts are more profound than others - this is one of them. After a fulfilling period at LHH Luxembourg (formerly Badenoch + Clark) the time has come to bid farewell. As with every relationship and venture, there are ups and downs (especially in recruitment!!). The key is to take each opportunity to learn, grow and push forward and most importantly: Hold on to those special moments shared with the team 👨👨👦👦 I've had the privilege of working with exceptional candidates, clients, partners 🚀 Your trust, collaboration, and the relationships we've built have been the cornerstone of my professional growth. As I approach my 3 year anniversary with LHH I was reflecting on how much my network has grown! It made me realize that although I have a large network a lot of you have probably never actually spoken to me one on one! To be clear I am not a "Recruiting Influencer" and I wouldn’t claim to be an expert. But I have been a Hiring Manager, an applicant many times and 3 years of doing this day in and day out has taught me a few things :) So I thought I would share a little about what being a recruiter means to me. - I strive to be the type of recruiter that I needed and found when I was last looking for a job (Thank you Ashley Griffith!). - The only thing I ever promise is honesty, transparency and that I will do the best I can for you. That goes for interactions with my candidates and my clients. - I genuinely want the best for the people I speak with; whether it’s me getting you placed or you finding a role on your own. I will be happy if and when you succeed. - I love getting to know people and their stories, I also love hearing the stories of the companies I work with. When it comes down to it I represent you if you are a client or a candidate I want and need to speak eloquently about you. - I will do my best to be a resource for you regardless of the situation. That could include Resume/LinkedIn advice/help, market intel, Salary/Hiring insights etc... - I am human, so yes sometimes I will miss that message from you, trust me my LinkedIn and Outlook inboxes can get kind of crazy! Feel free to bug me but please be patient. We have all had at least one bad experience with a Recruiter whether you are an HR/Hiring Manager using their services or a candidate working with them on getting submitted for a job. Even as a Recruiter I've had bad experiences with Recruiters! But please remember we are not all the same and I know I am far from the only recruiter out there who is proud of what I do and genuinely stives to be the best they can. I know the Job Application/Hiring system in general is frustrating; getting ghosted, not getting feedback, being told you’re over qualified or being offered a salary way below your worth. No one recruiter can fix or change that. But I have stood by the notion that if I put good out there and treat people how I would like to be treated then in the long run I will be successful and better for it. Hopefully there are people in my network who have worked with me, spoken to me or used my services and can attest to this.

When I started with Randstad, I was told many times how I would have about 13 weeks of training. They want to equip their employees with all the skills necessary to exceed at offering our services to our clients and helping talent find their next job/potential career. I have been recruiting talent and finding new clients. Now, I am over halfway complete with training and here are some takeaways as I have entered into the staffing world: 1) Everybody will say they want your help but some of them don’t. Be patient with everyone and remember the ones you have helped. 2) Be intentional and direct with anything that you do. People can often misunderstand or misread your actions so often think before you do and know your reasoning behind it. Think twice, do once. 3) You’re going to get more “no’s, maybe, I’ll think about it, and not right now” than ever before, and only after that you’ll get a “yes, let’s move forward”. Things take time and you have to continually persevere past the “no’s” or “not right now” to get to that yes you’ve been wanting. Highlights of the past weeks: *Star performer each week of training *closed on my first new account and am on the way to my second *helped several people get a job *gotten to meet and connect with an abundance of people that have helped me continue to mold my professional skills in my work *getting to work with my unit partner who is very good at his job and helps me learn so that I can be too #lifeatrandstad #update #staffingandrecruiting

We often feel frightened whenever we close a chapter and start another. And that is exactly what I felt before joining Robert Walters a year ago. This was my first role that involved 360 recruitment, hence, I was uncertain about what to expect. I vividly recall during the height of the pandemic, a period of frustration and near-desperation as I navigated a job market that seemed increasingly inaccessible. Rejections and silence from prospective employers left me on the brink of giving up, contemplating a shift towards my own small business ventures. Despite my extensive experience in recruiting over the past decade, transitioning to a role at Robert Walters was a decision that required careful consideration. By collaborating tirelessly, we not only found him a new opportunity but also negotiated a significant increase that supported his role as the family's breadwinner. These are just some of the stories resonate deeply with me and reinforce the significance of our work. Within six months, I earned a promotion to lead a team, followed by another opportunity to manage a new group a year later.
