2 key findings from the California Health Care Foundation's 2024 CHCF Central Valley Health Policy Survey that stood out to me: 💲Central Valley residents are experiencing challenges of high health care costs and medical debt - specifically low income and Latino/x residents. 🔊 Half of Central Valley residents believe that their community doesn't have enough providers - especially mental health providers Check out more of the key findings here: https://lnkd.in/eJ4-Hd-u #healthcareaccess #healthcarereform

We can, if we choose, work toward health justice—meaning that we actively advocate for the rights of all people to optimal health, acknowledge that social factors play a fundamental role in health, and support institutions in providing equal access and compassionate and affordable care. #integrativemedicineandnutrition #integrativehealth

One thing that has always crossed my mind when public health reforms are being set in place is how often are community members engaged in such processes? How often is their input taken into consideration when there’s a need to better serve them. Granted there maybe a lacklustre approach from both parties but this could be averted if both sides listened to each other. This would strengthen our public health systems as their design would not only be for the communities but have some input from the community members on how to serve them better. #monitoringandevaluation #engagement
