Congratulations to Alyeska Resort Executive Sous Chef, Wesley LaRosee, and Cook, Isaac Alderfer, on their recent award recognition as Stars of the Industry from the Alaska Hotel & Lodging Association (AKHLA). Chef Wes was recognized as the Kitchen Hotel Manager of the Year (more than 150 rooms) and Isaac was recognized as the Kitchen Hotel Employee of the Year (more than 150 rooms). The annual AKHLA awards program was created to honor and celebrate outstanding service and achievements in the hospitality industry. It recognizes employees, managers, properties, and businesses that best symbolize the highest quality service of the industry. In addition to Wes and Isaac's wins we had four additional nominations throughout the resort to recognize: Bessy Castellon – nominated for Front Office Hotel Employee of the Year – More than 150 Rooms Arab Ginnett – nominated for Sales/Marketing Hotel Manager of the Year – More than 150 Rooms Dave Gilhen – nominated for Accounting/Human Resources Hotel Manager of the Year – More than 150 Rooms Gabi De Lima – nominated for Rising Star of the Year We are so honored to see so many of our team represented in the nominations.
